OUtStANDING! Highly recommended. The hour long row boat trip up the Perfume River was a particular pleasure--just come prepared to generously tip the ladies who row the boats upon completion of your return trip. Our guide was friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable, and the Marble Mountains are truly beautiful, The Perfume Pagoda is particularly mesmerizing and well worth seeing.

The trip is quite long. 2 hour bus, 1 hour boat ride and a trick for almost an hour not unless you take a cable car. But that's part of the trip. Going to the Perfume Pagoda is a pilgrimage of its own. You'll be immersed with the Vietnamese culture, history and architecture. The only only thing I'd like to see improved are the presence of signage on the way up the mountain. You'll easily get lost with all the fork roads and stairs! Our tour guide is very kind and quite good in speaking in English. Just saying this out there: the trek up is worth it. But I don't recommend hiking it up if you're not physically active or if you're of age. Overall, seeing the pagoda inside the cave in a secluded mountain is a highlight to remember.
