Please meet me outside the Marina Ship Store (1006 Bay Street). The red and white brick store is located in a public parking lot that charges $1 an hour at the kiosk. Please put in at least 3 hours (4/5 if you are staying for lunch/shopping after). I will be wearing my straw hat.

This was a great tour and an excellent way to learn about Beaufort. Janet's enthusiastic love for her town was infectious. She took you to sites that you would not find on your own and explained the history of the area. She also uses visuals which help get your bearings. We had a large, fun group. Fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Learning about the history of this beautiful town and seeing all the antebellum homes. Janet is so engaging and interesting with how she does her tour you cannot come away uninformed. She uses lots of visuals and stops enough to take breaks from walking. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in history. She included geography with her visuals to help understand the time period of this beautiful town. A must see for history buffs and love of old architecture.

Our guide on the tour was Wynn. We enjoyed all two plus hours of excellent overview of Beaufort and South Carolina history, culture, and nature. Wynn was not only a very knowledgeable guide - he was clearly very passionate about the subject and he made it a very pleasurable experience (not an easy task for a two hour tour). It was a bonus to visiting a beautiful city of Beaufort and it added to our appreciation of the place. I highly recommend this guided tour.
