A must visit for anyone interested in the war and wanting to experience some of the North Vietnamese way of life at that time. Our tour guide gave us a continuous and knowledgeable commentary on the period. Be warned that all group tours will lead you into souvenir sites where the tour guide rakes in his commission.
The site has been altered from the original to suit the tourist trade but still gives the feel of the conflict. It is well run and the information supplied is interesting even though very biased to the North Vietnamese view as to be expected.
To get the best out of the site you need to be a little adventurous and try the hiding holes and the tunnels all of which were great fun.
An added cost option during the trip is the chance to safely fire one of the many guns used in the war all at a pretty reasonable cost.
A great half day out especially with a good tour guide.
Great tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Cu Chi Tunnels.
Our group was small with seven clients only, which was nice in managing the time and tour. Larger groups consisting of busloads of tourists seemed chaotic.
the booking process was easy and simple instructions were provided to us such as where and when was pick up as we stayed outside of the city. the Tour itself was very comfortable as it was a small group and a friendly local tour guide provided us an informative experience of what life is like back in those rebellious years. For a half day trip, it catered specifically to what is interesting without dragging the day too long. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
My son and I went on this tour and had a fantastic time. Our guide Lewis was excellent - informative, great communicator with just the right amount of humour thrown in.
This tour was a highlight of our stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
We enjoyed a lot the tour. If you visit Vietnam you don't have to miss this tour. Transportation was comfortable, driver very professional. The tour guide ave us valuable information about Vietnam history and cu chi tunnels. The size of the group was good, ours were about 8 persons. We made the tour with two adults, one kid 4 years old and our small 6 months baby and everything was fine.
Typhoon Honey was our tour guide and he did an excellent job explaining the history and how things worked at Cu Chi Tunnels.
Great tour, a reminder of the brutality on both sides, unique insight into the ingenious and persistent activity of the Viet Cong. Our guide was very charming, knowledgeable and spoke good and clear English. That her father had been in the war gave an extra dimension. Interesting that so many young people came on this tour.
We had a small group which I highly recommend. I have been speaking with others that ha went with big groups, they didn't have the best experience. Our guide David, a very funny and informative guy, he took us around explained everything very well and he spoke good English. The lunch was Vietcong style and we actually liked it. They take you to a place where they make lacker ware, its quite expensive but the products are very nice made. After you go to the tunnels, after a walkaround you are able to enter the tunnels and look for yourself. It is very hot and if you are big boned, little tight otherwise very cool. At the end you can shoot real weapons if you like. Don't miss out on this tour, well worth the price!
A Really we'll run tour with excellent commentary from our friendly tour guide. The pace wasn't too rushed and we returned to our hotel in HMC around 5 hours after being picked up around 8am.
We travelled in a modern 10 seator transit bus that was clean and professionally driven.
Thank you for a great tour experience Viator.
Súper buena experiencia! No deben perdersela. Esta llena de historia y es realmente algo único en la vida.
Yesterday I took the small group day tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels and it was an excellent experience all around. Tommy Hilfiger is a great guy and terrific guide. His English is fantastic as is his historical knowledge. The tunnels were fascinating and I enjoyed having the opportunity to fire actual guns representing the period. The mini-coach we rode in looked new and had great seats and AC, making the trip there and back painless. And the price, well, it was beyond reasonable. If you have even the slightest interest in the time period in question then by all means visit the Cu Chi Tunnels with these guys. You'll be glad you did.
This was a very good tour. Our guide Jack was informative and sincere. He took the time to teach us about the history and culture of the people who created the tunnels. It is important to understand the things that people do during war time and to reflect on how they survived. I have known about the tunnels my whole life, but visiting here made this part of our collective past real.
David our guide was extremely knowledgable and well informed about the issues, history and detail of the trip.
He was very good as a guide although the site was rather busy, but that's just a fact and not much could be done about that!
The tunnels trip gives the opposite story to the War Remenants Museum, which is all about the American atrocities, this shows how the Vietnamese fought back.
Heartbreaking really - war is never an easy subject, especially whilst still in recent history! Fascinating all the same.
Was a great tour! Our guide was excellent and informative and flexible. Very professional. We have 3 kids, 14, 12 and 5 and the tour was amazing for them as well. We had a great time. Highly recommend.
This tour was thorough, very informative and enjoyable. Though the topic is somber, our guide, Typhoon Honey, was fantastic and interjected just the right amount of humor into the day. I also really appreciated being in a small group and in an air-conditioned van not a large tour bus. Typhoon Honey was the BEST!!!
This tour is a cannot miss in Ho Chi Minh... our tour guide Tim was fantastic snd humorouswith such a wealth of knowledge...
This tour was very good and our guide with the memorable name of Typhoon Honey was excellent and very informative. We booked a morning tour as it gets very hot by midday. We had enough time to go on the firing range as well.
The tour was informative about the war and village life in Vietnam, and provided a great escape from Ho Chi Minh City to see the surrounding environs.
Good tour just felt like it was a little rushed and didnt have much time to take photos. Guide didnt wait for us while we took photos before speaking so missed out on a little bit of information as well.
The tour itself was an incredible learning experience. The grounds were well laid out in a manner that flowed well. Tim Tim was an excellent guide. 4 stars only for the fact that the tour company wouldn't pick me up in D7 and asked me to be at their building in D3 by 8am. Arriving at 7:45am, they made me wait for 45 minutes before being picked up for the tour.
Our tour guide Daisy was amazing! She and #39;s friendly and knowledgeable. Brought us to see what and #39;s important and avoided the crowd.
However the tour agency did not contact me prior to the trip to confirm our hotel for pick up. It was disappointing that I had to call them a day in advance to remind them!
A good cultural experience, not a major concern for claustrophobic individuals, you can easily skip going in the tour
