Exceptional tour! Prompt pickup from hotel. Speedboat ride cool and quick - perfect for that humid weather. Quicker than taking a bus. Unlimited drinks and cut local fruit. Even had a bahn mi sandwich before departing! There were only three of us on the tour, so the Cu Chi tunnels tour was easy to maneuver. Seemed more personal. Didn't have to wait for slow people in the group. Tour left me with a much greater understanding of the tunnels and appreciate the difficulties of the Vietnamese during the war. Lunch was served right there at Cu Chi. The cricket farm was amazing! Never saw anything like this before! The air-conditioned van back to the hotel was so comfortable, I took a nap! Would definitely recommend this tour!
Speedboat is the fastest and in my opinion the best way to travel to Cu Chi. We had a fun guide who spoke excellent English and made this a memorable experience. Seeing the tunnels is a must for anyone who knows anything about Vietnam's history.
Great tour, well looked after. Wonderfully informative and with interesting personal anecdotes our guide Tam was a delight. Luxury speedboat and refreshments excellent. Tunnel tour great experience, Tam got us around early to miss most of the crowds. Visits to Rice Paper making and cricket farm exceptional experiences. We got to try our hand at rice paper making and eat fried crickets..Yes we did! The cricket farm was a high quality family place which made us comfortable to try this delicacy?? Minivan driver a bit rough over potholed roads, not as careful as others we had experienced. Overall, exceptional tour, thank you Tam.
This was a well-organized tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels and then back through the countryside. The ride up to the tunnels was by speedboat, which was a nice, relaxing ride where we got to see the activity along the river. Going to the tunnels is a great learning experience and you even get to crawl through them. The lunch was satisfying after being on the boat and walking around the tunnel site all morning. After lunch we rode by van to various locations in the countryside and even got to practice making rice paper and sampled crickets. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We left the hotel at 7 AM and got back at 3:30 PM. All in all, it was a great day.
Great tour. Picked up on time and after a little bit of confusion as to what boat we were on, the speedboat trip up the river was amazing as was the provided breakfast. Sorry but I can't remember our guides name, but he was very knowledgable with everything to do with the Cu Chi Tunnels. This tour gets there before the crowds arrive - added bonus! We had a beautiful lunch provided and the van ride back including the visit to the cricket farm was wonderful. Can highly recommend this tour.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Countryside tour is great since you find out how people live day-to-day and be apart of it. Biggest suggestion would to give it a try and to keep your mind open :

Very hot day, but learned much about the tunnels and the war. The countryside side of the tour was excellant and got to meet many local peopl and how they did they work in the areas we visited.
What an amazing tour! Pick up from hotel and then to river to catch the speedboat Coffee and banh mi provided for early morning tour. Interesting to see how the Vietnamese survived the torture and how they beat the Americans and were ahead of them all the time. Very good tour guide Must do tour!
Very nice. It was a lovely trip by boat and once we arrived the tour guide explain the all history including a documentary and visit some the tunnels. Amazing. Lunch and the return by boat was very nice.
highly recommend this as a great day out.
the breakfast is a bit of a waste of tie as everyone seems to eat at their hotel early, then drive for 20 mins, have breakfast by which time the rush hour has built up then off you go out on the trip. i feel the rush hour could have been avoided instead.
or make it clear that the breakfast is included.
enjoyed the cricket farm
the rice paper workshop was much more fun than expected.
salad farm is a waste of time really, loads of lettuce all europeans on the tour..fields of lettuce nothing special
DOG LOVERS DO NOT GET OUT OF THE BUS at the salad farm - some very distressed dogs in horrific conditions here tiny cages etc etc
finally on to the tunnels at cu chi. this was awesome, really enjoyed it.
it is definitely worth reading up a little on vietnamese history before going to vietnam so that you can appreciate things like this more .
our guide was really great, her english was good and she was really helpful.
you can fire guns if that is your thing - i tried an AK47 and it was worth a go.
lunch after the tunnels was absolutely superb !
everyone in our group loved it about 8 in total
finally, high speed trip down the river which was really good.
tis was great, nice powerful boat and missed most of the rush hour traffic !
i would recommend this trip - it was a great day out.
only wy to improve it would be to drop the breakfast and salad farm.
dan - went early january 2017
Really nice trip all round, great tour guide at the tunnels, a must do in Vietnam...
This was a great tour. We were picked up right at our hotel Riverside Serviced Apartments in the boat which was fantastic. The river is smooth riding and really nice to get some air blowing on you when it is hot out. I would not say there is a ton to see along the river, but a very pleasant ride. You dock right at the Cu Chi tunnels and the tour is excellent. Our grouped branched after the Cu Chi tour and our guide took my two daughters and myself to an organic farm, a rubber tree plantation, a little spot where we learned to make rice paper and then to a cricket farm where we got to sample crickets freshly cooked in garlic. Made for an amazing day.
The tour was amazing! The trip up on the Saigon River was beautiful and relaxing, was also great to take in life on the river. Our guide of the tunnel was very informative on the Vietnam War and Cu Chi Tunnels. Was also great to get a feel for local life in the area.
The tour was great from start to finish, the boat trip was very good lots of cold drinks our guides were very helpful. The Cu Chi tunnels are very interesting lots to see and do. And the stop off places on the way back were very good the rice paper making especially.
a fantastic experience. wonderful guides and a perfectly organized trip. the river trip was beautiful. the tunnels were fascinating, and the visit to a local farm, cricket farm, and the lacquer factory were extraordinary.
A very nice experience in a boat and Cu Chi Tunnels are just something outstanding!
The extra tour in a mini bus was also something which can be put nto a memory - eating crickets... Mmm.. Unforgettable! Cute family businesses are so nice to visit!
Don't visit the factory of Handicrafts, where disabled people work - it is a complete fake this enterprise!
They sale the pictures and other pieces of art by extremely high prices almost forcing you to buy a thing! Not a good expereince being fooled around... We found the same stuff almost 3 times cheaper in a normal supermarket...
Great trip, Viet is a great guide, knowledgeable and excellent English.. Saw around the Tunnels before the rush of bus passengers. Well worth the price.
Very nice trip. Small group, great guide. Excellent food and boat trip.
Our emails and confirmation for pick up was responded to quickly and we were picked up on time. Our tour guide was friendly and informative. The boat was modern and maintained with plenty of drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the tour but the tunnel part was a bit rushed, but there were a lot of people there. After the tour we had a great lunch with plenty to choose from. After that I separated from the group to visit a cricket farm and surrounding area. FYI crickets are delicious!!! It is worth it to spend a little extra on this trip. We had a great time.
Excellent tour....well worth the money. Our guide Tam was wonderful, disappointed that she didn't remain with us for the complete tour. The included lunch was very good too.
Highly recommended for the Tour. Took a speedboat to Cuchi and the experience was phenomenal. On the speedboat, we were served with drinks and fruits. When we reached Cuchi, we went through a few of the tunnels(don't worry, the tunnel is bigger and not like the ones during war time). My 5 year old girl was able to do it as well. However, if you are claustrophobic, you can opt to skip the tunnel. We were also introduced to all the traps, hiding places etc in Cuchi Tunnels. My wife tried the firing range(real rifle) which costs about US$10 for a couple of rounds. Thereafter, we had a sumptuous lunch beside the river. The rest of trip included a Rice Paper Making Tour; Seeing how the Locals grow/plant vegetables; We also visited a Cricket Farm and guess what, we had a plate of fried crickets(with loads of spices) and my 5 year old girl were eating them like they were chicken nuggets :-) This tour is certainly worth the money.
This was an excellent trip and the "mini-breakfast" was very good (although we only had water and some fruit). We arrived before most people so we were able to see the tunnels without too much trouble. The guide was very good and the tunnels were amazing. It definitely gave us a lot of "food for thought".
Lunch was excellent (much better than expected) and the afternoon drive back was interesting, although in itself not that exciting.
All in all it was a great trip, good value for money and an excellent insight into what the Vietnamese faced in the "American War".
