I absolutely loved this tour! This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. 'Long' was our tour guide for the day and he could not have made the day any more amazing than it was! Long was the perfect tour guide, his humor, intelligence, knowledge and organisation for the group was outstanding! You do not see the floating markets which i was not disappointed in. Long recommended that if you wanted to see the floating markets at the Mekong Delta that you should book a tour that is for 2 or 3 days long. The order of the places you see stated above is incorrect yet you do get to see everything. The bus trip is a total of 2 hours one way so you are on the bus for awhile. First you visit the buddhist temple at My Tho then you head to the Mekong Delta river where you catch a boat to an island where you will have lunch. We got the 'special' lunch and my goodness it was delicious, best decision of my life and there was sooo much food, you won't be left hungry! Then from lunch we jumped back onto the boat for about another 10 minutes, hope off at another stop and walk to a local village where they make the coconut candy, so delicious, plus you get the opportunity to hold a HUGE python around your neck for no charge at all. From the coconut candy village you hop on a small boat and let one of the villagers steer you around a smaller river off the mekong for about 20 minutes, a small tip is a good idea. You then hop off the boat and walk to another small village where they serve you hot honey bee tea and a selection of fruit, whilst you listen to some traditional music, a tip is almost encouraged here. Then its a short walk back to the bus and on your way home. I could not recommend this tour enough! You get to meet the locals, try local food and produce, and you are in an amazing environment that takes your breath away! The tour is a huge day and everyone ends up sleeping on the way back home. I would do this tour again if i had the opportunity to!
Excellent trip with great guide! Fun with paddling of the small sampan as well! Thumbs up!
We enjoyed the tour. I think what made it better was our tour guide. He spoke good English, Vietnames and Cambodian. The tour was well paced and correlated and was also very informative. Learned quite a bit and was able to get a good feel of what the area offered to its community. Definately would recommend this!
Great guide nicknamed Max. Really good day, thoroughly recommend.
Tour was good, maybe a bit long, I did not get back to hotel until 10.30. Maybe cut back on time in Laos. Long neck tribe was the highlight for me.
The tour was fun and a must try for an up close experience with the great Mekong river.
Good tour. The guide was very good. Explained everything in easy to understand english.
The itinerary is the itinerary. Probably could have done without the horse and cart ride through one of the small villages.
The row boat down one of the streams of the mekong was lovely and peaceful.
Great trip , albeit the pick ups from were we stayed and others took 1/2 hour, so we would have been better to meet at the agents offices which were just around the corner street. However once we got going and arrived at first stop on the trip, where we eat fruits and water, and listened to local music, it was great. The 1st part of river cruise, was a bit scary, 4 in a narrow row boat rowed by a local except the paddle snapped. My partners worst nitemare !!! . But we enjoyed it in the end. The second part on motorised boat and the meal at a local village restaurant on a river island was terrific. The largest meaty fish, elephant fish, from the river, was delicious and so different.
The guide was informative and friendly.
All in all a most unforgettable trip and well worth the money.

Quite large groups 3 busses on the day we went all pretty full that over lap slightly at each stop. Would still recommend if you are on a budget though. Overall a good experience with an average lunch unless you upgrade and some good sights to see. Coconut sweets were really tasty.
The actual part spent on the Mekong is about 10-15 mins on a small boat. It would be better if more time is spent on the Mekong, given it takes a long time to get there. Coconut candy making process was good, as was the folk singing. The royal jelly in tea part was not explained very well.
If you want to see the mekong delta this short trip which was fun to do with our tour guide commentary, very friendly and informative. Lunch was offered too which was plentiful.
