What To Expect
Your Bruny Island day trip from Hobart starts with a drive from the city to the coast, where you’ll catch the ferry to Adventure Bay. During the drive, admire the scenery and listen to narration from your driver about points of interest.
When you reach Adventure Bay, enjoy morning tea before setting off on your 3-hour wilderness cruise around Bruny Island. The custom-built adventure boat provides plenty of viewing opportunities of the wild coastline and, hopefully, sightings of local marine life. Zoom between steep cliff faces, heading toward the Breathing Rock. See the treacherous location where the Southern Ocean meets the Tasman Sea, and keep your eyes open for dolphins, fur seals, sea eagles, and maybe even a great white shark.
When your cruise returns to shore, warm up with a lunch at a restaurant and then end your day trip with the journey back to Hobart.

David our driver was entertaining and great, even funny at times. Did Bruny Island again our 2nd time as did not do the cruise last time, did just the land tour. Pennicott cruises we cannot recommend enough, the guys are caring if you are not well, they really want you to see dolphins and others. We have now done 3 Pennicott cruises and definitely recommend this company. Had morning tea and lunch included and it did not disappoint. Thanks David and everyone at Pennicott cruises.

A fabulous day. Saw plenty of wildlife: an echidna, albatross, fur seals and many birds. Staff were fun, caring and knowledgable.

Loved the fully tailored experience. One thing is to get to start point at 7:30 to check-in, this wasn’t relayed to us via this app. Commentary on the bus ride there, morning tea and lunch provided. Boat trip was fun, lots to see and skipper had humour! All in all a great experience, 10/10 would recommend.

The tour guides were fun, knowledgeable and really looked after us. The whole trip was excellent. It was great to see dolphins, seals and seagulls in 1 trip. The sea cliffs were amazing. I travel around the world and would give the best rating carefully.

My husband & I did similar cruises in Queensland & New Zealand...by far this one topped it all. Wildlife is so much exciting to watch in real life. Definitely follow instructions about sea sickness...the captains know exactly what they doing

Pennicott tours are true professionals when it comes to touring. I loved the tour. The tour took most of the day. Start early with a bus to Kettering and across to Bruny by vehicle ferry. After that we drove down to Adventure bay with a quick stop at the Neck. We boarded the boat for a 3 hour cruise which was an unforgettable experience. The natural environment is unparalleled and truely unique. If you suffer from motion sickness this tour is not for you even on a relatively calm day the water is very rough. They offer other options for those who do not wish to take the boat. Pennicott tours has its own restaurant and provide lunch included in the price. It was very good food in my opinion. This would be counted as my top tour after Mt Wellington for a Hobart trip.
