Discover the Tasman Peninsula by both land and sea on this day trip from Hobart that includes a 3-hour eco-cruise around the coast of Tasman National Park. Learn about the peninsula’s history and soak up the rugged scenery as you admire tall sea cliffs, enter sea caves and look for marine life like seals and dolphins. When booking, two sightseeing upgrades are available to enhance your Tasman Peninsula experience—admission to Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park or admission World Heritage–listed Port Arthur Historic Site. Lunch is included in all tour options.
  • Full-day Tasman Peninsula Tour from Hobart
  • Enjoy a 3-hour eco-cruise between Eaglehawk Neck to Port Arthur
  • See spectacular coastal scenery and explore deep sea caves
  • Visit local attractions such as Remarkable Cave, Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm (unless upgrading ticket)
  • Morning tea and lunch included
  • Upgrade sightseeing to include admission to Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park or Port Arthur Historic Site, instead of other local attractions.

Your day trip from Hobart starts with the approximate 1.5-hour drive by coach to the Tasman Peninsula, during which your guide will point out sights and provide commentary. Stop for morning tea, and then embark on your 3-hour cruise, taking in the stunning coastline of Tasman National Park.

Stare up at some of Australia’s tallest sea cliffs, enter deep sea caves, spot the lighthouse that guards Storm Bay, and keep your eyes open for seals and dolphins. With the boat’s covered open-air seating, you’ll have great viewing opportunities of the sea and shore.

When you return to land, enjoy lunch before spending the afternoon on a tour with your guide to peninsula attractions such as Remarkable Cave, the Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm (alternatively, upgrade your ticket to include either the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park or Port Arthur Historic Site instead). Your day trip ends with the drive back to Hobart.

Upgrade Sightseeing Options
You can’t see everything in one day, but you can try! Customize the sightseeing to suit you. Instead of visiting local attractions like Remarkable Cave, Federation Chocolate Factory and Port Arthur lavender Farm you can choose one of these upgrade options:

Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park:
Get an up-close look at these iconic Australian animals at this wildlife center that features a free-flight bird show, an opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos and a chance to watch feeding time for the Tasmanian devils.

Port Arthur Historic Site:
This former penal colony, part of the Australian Convict Sites UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to several old structures and ruins that were once home to prisoners, officers and guards. You have three hours to spend here learning about Australia’s penal history amid the landscaped grounds.

Highly recommended. The Tasman coastline is breathtaking with it's high cliffs, caves and wildlife. Tim and Angie were fantastic in getting the boat very close to the rock edges and provided interesting and insightful information. We saw many dolphins that followed the boat, large groups of seals on rock ledges, and many types of birds including albatross and eagles. The boat itself is purpose built for this use and was very new and comfortable.

This was truly fantastic. The boat ride was bumpy so be aware if you have motion sickness or are not into that sort of stuff.

Great tour. On our cruise we saw common dolphins, fur seals, humpback whales and of course we saw the impressive landscape. Afterwards we visited the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and had some great animal encounters.

It was a breath taking day! Worth every cent! Unforgettable!
We did the full day tour from Hobart without the optional activities. We did Saturday which is typically less busy than a Sunday which made the day feel very personal. All the staff were so lovely, fun and attentive - really cared about the experience thanks Phil and Damo. The boat cruise around the Tasman cliff is just unbelievable. Worth every cent! Unforgettable! We lucked out on the weather.. it was very tame.
We had lunch near where the cruise finished. The view from the restaurant was amazing and I have a feeling that we got the better meal compared to other options. After the boat cruise and lunch we requested to go to Remarkable Cave it lived up to its name!
Couldn't recommend this day trip more!

Overall a great tour! It was fun, beautiful and informative. We did have a few small things we would like to see differently. We got off of the boat, then walked up a hill to the shuttle. We went to drop other people off of at Port Arthur. Then we turned around went back to the place where we got off the boat to eat lunch. This process took up time that we could have been using at the Tasmanian Devil Sanctuary. We enjoyed the lovely scenery from the boat. And we learned a lot and got very good pictures of the Tasmanian Devils.

Amazing views when I recently did this tour. Was lucky in that the forecasted rain all fell overnight so we had an amazingly cool but sunny day. Bus driver was friendly and professional at taking me around to both the cruise as well as other venues afterwards.
