Great day outside of Hobart
Doug_M, Jan 2025
The tour was an excellent way to see the natural highlights outside of Hobart. All 4 stops were great and (although requiring a drive between each them) time was provided to learn or enjoy on your own. Our guide, Gary, was a wealth of information and did a great job of filling the drive time with history and stories. He was very enjoyable and personable. If you have a day to venture out and see the sites outside of town, this tour is an excellent way to do it.

It’s a great tour and is worth the price. The tour guide is very highly knowledgeable with facts about Hobart and the tour. The tour guide made the tour very interesting. Very highly recommend.!
Was an ok
Armita_Z, Jan 2025
The trip cut short and we didn’t see Mt Wellington. It could’ve been great to still go despite a minor fog.
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Hello Armita, Mother nature wasn't on your side on this day. The cloud clover over Mt. Wellington wasn't good for views, so your guide tried to give you the best experience possible by going to Rosny Hill Lookout and Mt. Nelson Signal Station. Both of these lookouts were below the cloud cover on that day. In the future we will summit Mt. Wellington regardless of the cloud. I'm sorry you didn't make it up there on your travel date.
Fantastic

Day tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong wildlife sanctuary and Richmond
Hua_L, Jan 2025
We enjoyed the trip and the bus driver was nice. Kids loved the Bonorong wildlife park and fed kangaroos. The water falls in the Mt. Field are beautiful and the view on the top of the Mt. Wellington is stunning. We like the Richmond village.
Fantastic tour

Great tour of Richmond and wildlife sanctuary great to see the injured animals better and looked after. The view from Mt Wellington is fantastic and you could see all of Hobart and Tasmania.
It was a good tour that...
harshul_g, Jan 2025
It was a good tour that started with rain forest trail. The tour guide was very interactive and shared lots of good information with us which made the tour even more great. We even spotted echidnas on the road and the tour guide stopped the bus and took us out of the bus to show the echidnas and explain more in detail which was very fun. He even offered to drop us at our location while coming back which was definitely a plus.
Highly recommend

This was a great tour and combined a bit of everything so well worth it. Tour guide was passionate about animals so got to learn some new things which was great. Mt Field and Mt Wellington were beautiful. Richmond was great for food and learning about convict history and how Hobart came to be the city it is today. A little extra time in Richmond would have been great, but all in all this was a great tour.
Tasmania from Mountains to the Sea.
Kathy_K, Dec 2024
Hobart is an amazing city with tons of activities in and around the waterfront BUT, the outskirts of the city are stunning. Mt Field and Mt Wellington are beautiful spots to be enjoyed for the amazing scenery and wonderful clean air as well as incredible views. Bonorong was a special treat for these 2 Americans who love wildlife! Our guide, Brett, was VERY knowledgeable and took time to explain the animals habitat, breeding and we learned so much!
Best tour of our month long trip
Mark_O, Dec 2024
Our guide Bret, was not just amazingly informative about the Tasmanian culture and history, but also the animal habits and physiology The walk through the Mt Field forest was incredibly beautiful followed by visiting Bonorong .- the best wildlife sanctuary we have seen. Truly a great day in Tasmania.
The Best Tour in Tasmania

Morgana_M, Dec 2024
My tour guide was lovely, I got to meet so many cool people on the trip. Our walk through the ash trees was stunning and spending time with the animals at the sanctuary was amazing. Our stop in Richmond had so many sweet little stores, I highly recommend stopping in the eclectic bookshop cafe. The summit view was also incredible!
Tasmania Day Tour
Roberto_V, Dec 2024
We had a fantastic day touring Tasmania. Our guide Brett was excellent. He guided us to the best trails in the parks and great food at our lunch spot. An added bonus is that he has incredible knowledge about the local Australian fauna. He told us many interesting facts about wombats, tassie devils, echidnas, and wallabies.
A Day in the Country

As good as could be reasonably expected. Our guide was great. Enjoyed petting the kangaroos at the Sanctuary.

Good tour. Pickup was 15 minutes late but driver called to say he was running late. Driver was not used to driving bus as he didn’t know sir conditioning was off couldn’t figure how to turn on. We had to keep telling him
Wonderful tour of beautiful local treasures!
Megan_C, Nov 2024
Our guide, Brett, was amazing. He's super knowledgeable and friendly and added such context and color to an already gorgeous tour. The Tall Trees walk at Mt Field is awesome - extremely peaceful and gorgeous with two stunning waterfalls. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is inspiring and a fantastic visit - so many native creatures and lots of social kangaroos hanging out for petting and hand feeding. Finally the view of Hobart from the top of Mt Wellington is majestic. Absolutely strong recommend for this tour, an amazing day trip!
Magnificent view at the end!
Karyn_B, Oct 2024
There’s a lot packed in to this tour and we definitely got to see everything promised. However, we just didn’t get a lot of commentary from the guide. We had just been on a similar tour in Sydney two days before this one and the guide gave us tons of information about the area, its history and more and was so engaging the entire day. We even learned more about Tasmania on that tour than we did on this tour of Tasmania sights! We loved the wildlife sanctuary and the views from Mt. Wellington were incredible, which somewhat made up for the lack of commentary.
