We had a limited amount of time in Tasmania and wanted to find a good way to see a number of different things on the island. This was a great trip to make that happen. We began by going to Mount Field to see the tall trees, wildlife, and waterfalls. It was a nice walk through the forest and everything was beautiful. We followed that up with a visit to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. There, we saw Tassie devils, fed Kangaroos and got to pet a koala. We then drove through wine country to Richmond. It was a cute little town with some shops where we had scallop pie (a Tasmania specialty) for lunch. Finally, we drove up to Mount Wellington for beautiful views of Hobart. Jarrod - our guide - was really fantastic. He provided us with a lot of information along the way and had a ton of interesting knowledge. Overall, this was an awesome way to see a number of different sites in Tasmania and I'd highly recommend it.

Well done Day Trip...recommend..dress warmly for Mt Wellington!
Janet_C, Jun 2023
The walk through Mt Field was beautiful and the waterfalls magical. The Honoring Wildlife Sanctuary fun feeding the kangaroos and seeing the Devil up close. Very good guide there. Mt Wellington was very windy and cold but beautiful. Only down part was that the distances between these wonderful spots caused a lot of driving. Guide very interesting though, sharing personal history of his own ancestors.
Well worth a trip! Great experience!
James_Z, May 2023
Wonderful experience with our tour driver Garry, he is an interesting person and explained very thoroughly about the places we have been. Thank you 🙏!
Highly recommend
Brooke_K, May 2023
Wonderful day out. Loved seeing the wombats and Tasmanian devils, but the view from the top of mount wellington was absolutely breathtaking
Don't miss this tour - a great experience and great value
Roslyn_S, May 2023
This was a great tour and our guide, Jarrod, was excellent. All of the sites were great. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He kept us informed all the time and at the end, summarized the trip. The balance of time on our own and as a group was perfect.
Beautiful scenery and nice tour guide
Lovette_N, Apr 2023
Beautiful scenery and nice tour guide. The tour guide is responsible and well knowledgeable of the place of vist. Recommend tour to visit.
Fun, informative and great value
sabrina_c, Apr 2023
Jarrod was so informative and helpful. The whole day was fun and so well organised. My partner and I enjoyed it. The small group meant we could meet and have a chat with other people . Our favourite part of the day was Mt Wellington- it was breathtaking
We’ll worth while
Joanne_G, Apr 2023
Fantastic day! Your operator had great knowledge and made the experience amazing. Great that we got to also support the native wildlife rescue program in the process
Hand feeding kangaroo...
Danni_H, Apr 2023
Hand feeding kangaroo babies is definitely amazing. The only regret is the horrible weather ruined our last stop which is the lookout at summit on Mount Wellington.
BEST TOUR EXPERIENCE, WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!
Va_A, Apr 2023
This tour was my first and it really exceeded my expectations. It was well executed, thorough and well organised. Despite the fact it took the whole day, there were short stops throughout the day at all attractions. Big shout out to the legendary tour guide, Jarrod (local) for his exceptional and historical knowledge of Tasmania as well as sharing also his ancestral connections. If you want to experience nature through bush, learn about rescued and endangered animals and witness spectacular and breathtaking views, then I highly recommend this tour. WINNER!
One of the best days ever! Great views, and tropical forests
Catherine_O, Apr 2023
This entire tour is fantastic from the second you board the van. Our guide was Scotty and he was full of facts and information and had a great sense of humor! We loved him! Mt. field was like stepping into Jurassic Park! Beautiful waterfalls and lush vegetation and the second largest trees in the world. A huge bonus to traveling with viatour was we didn’t have to walk up the steps and back down. I’m positive we saw more than the large bus tour groups simply because of where we were parked and we only needed to walk down steps to see the beautiful waterfalls. Mt. Wellington also offered incredible views and we never felt rushed. Scotty was right there to always answer questions and show us to additional views. The wildlife sanctuary was also fun to see! This was a definite 10 star if I could do that for my rating! Thanks Scotty for a great day!
Fantastic Wellington, Mt Fields, Bonorong
John_S, Apr 2023
Everything was fantastic - an excellent mixture of nature, culture, and a fabulous view to end the trip. Jarrod was an excellent host with pertinent commentary and was very punctual.
Hobart Tasmania. I wander Tasmania Tours.
Doris_A, Apr 2023
Wonderful magical day, sometimes I felt like I was in Jurassic Park and a dinosaur would show up Mount Field was my favorite. Scotty was an awesome guide! Jarrod thought of everything and was very prompt in all communications. All around perfect day for Hobart Tasmania I would recommend this tour five star.
Great day of sightseeing
Susan_F, Apr 2023
Got to see a lot in a single day without having to drive myself. Jarrod made the driving time interesting with his commentary along the way.
Great tour
Sandra_V, Mar 2023
Jarod is a great and very nice driver. He talked about Tasmania’s history while driving to our destination. The waterfall is beautiful, Richmond is a very historic little town and feeding the roos and seeing all different kinds of animals at the sanctuary so awesome.
A great day outdoors
SANDRAPYING_T, Mar 2023
Jared was an amazing tour guide. Punctual and told great stories and histories throughout the whole trip.
Fantastic way to see Tasmania!!
Karen_L, Mar 2023
This was honestly one of the best day tours I’ve ever done! The sites were plentiful and beautiful, and our guide was super friendly and extremely accommodating! (We were travelling with a little one and needed a few concessions along the way.) I’d highly recommend this tour as a great way to see Tasmania, especially if you’re short on time.
Great Full Day of Highlights
trvlr1313, Mar 2023
What a gorgeous place and this tour gave us nature and animals all in one. The Tall Trees and waterfall walk was simply stunning and a great start to the tour. The wildlife sanctuary was fantastic-we got to feed a kangaroo! Richmond is a beautiful town and the views on Mt Wellington were breathtaking. We loved every minute and Jarrod was a fantastic, informative guide.
A great way to be introduced to Tasmania.
Bob_S, Mar 2023
We really enjoyed our walk in Mt. Field National Park. A couple of members of our group have walking issues but this walk was perfect - wondrous trees, wide, flat trail, and only having to walk downhill. :) Bonorong Sanctuary is not the type of facility we would usually visit, but we were impressed with their dedication to the critters and commitment to “releasing “ back to the wild those who can survive. We enjoyed visiting Richmond and the climb up Mt. Wellington, but the first two activities I wrote about were our favourites.
Wonderful Day in Nature
Ivor_K, Mar 2023
Rusell Falls is unbelieveable spectecular, as is top of Mt. Wellington. Learning about Australiain wildlife.
Wonderful Tour
Debra_M, Mar 2023
The entire day was wonderful! Mt. Wellington was frigid and windy but worth it! Our guide was smart enough to re-organize the sequence of the day to try to avoid afternoon rain and get us to all our stops seamlessly. The rains did come and we got a bit soggy, but still experienced all that was offered! Had a great time and would highly recommend!
Awesome day trip
ANDRELUIS_D, Mar 2023
Definitely recommend this day trip around Hobart where you can have a bit of everything: hiking, sightseeing, visit historical places, and try the local food. A great guide tour provides info and tips all along the way.
Fantastic,, right balance...
Andrew_K, Mar 2023
Fantastic,, right balance between nature and history worth going and it was not a rush of a day we had plenty of time do stop and take all the photos we wanted and take our time
Amazing tour.
Don_M, Mar 2023
Amazing tour. A long day but worth it. Our driver Jared was great with insightful comments through the day. For us, Bonorong was the highlight. We enjoyed the walk and waterfalls at Mt Fields as well as the lunch in Richmond. Mt Wellington was cold with high winds. Great view but weather didn't cooperate
What a day
Cheryl_B, Mar 2023
Jared was a wonderful guide. Each stop was uniquely different and thoroughly amazing. We walked in a beautiful rainforest, fed kangaroos and learned about the Tasmanian devils and wombats, we had lunch in a lovely small town and then drove to the top of Mt. Wellington for a breathtaking view. I couldn't recommend this tour more.
Very good
Katerina_T, Mar 2023
Very good tour highlighting the top things. Very good if you only have one day. Left earlier that the time at some spots because everyone finished early, even though we had more time and some people wanted to see some things still.
Lovely tour
Dulce_B, Mar 2023
It was a lovely tour! Really enjoyed it! I recommend it. Jared was really nice and was always telling us history about Tasmania
Worthy!
ClaudiaXimena_T, Mar 2023

can be more than a driver
Tony_L, Mar 2023
the tour guide looks like as a driver rather than a helper... it can be better to put us together....
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Hey Tony, Your review is referring to the start of the tour. You were the last pick up for the day, and I saved 2 seats for you at the front of the vehicle next to me. There was one remaining seat in the back next to another traveller. When I picked you up I open the front door and said "there are 2 seats up front for you" your friend opened the back to get in the single seat there. I said again there are 2 up the front. I then said "it will be more comfortable up front togther" you said "OK, OK, OK, ok". I couldn't understand why you didn't want to sit together. At the next stop your friend chose to sit in the front with you for the rest of the day. It's a shame that a simple misunderstanding resulted in this negative review. We understand people that booked together want to sit together and we make sure that happens, I tried to make that happen on your tour but a breakdown in language or your presumption that there was only 1 seat in the front resulted in this review.

Fantastic Tour - A must for first time visitors.
melly_b, Mar 2023
The whole tour package is excellent, though I’m not keen on walking (referred to the Tall Tree walk).😍👍
We will do this again, and hopefully it won’t be a white out at the top of Mount Wellington, but I am so grateful we tr.
Edward_S, Feb 2023
This was a very merry memorable experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get a good overview of the beauty of Tasmania. Jared was awesome and very knowledgeable. Thank you very much. Edward and Bonnie.
