We loved this tour ! The view from Mt wellington was awesome and Richmond was charming. it was great seeing Tasmanian Devils and a wombat up close and patting the sleeping koala. The best part was seeing the emus and feeding the kangaroos out of our hands.

Loved this trip, it was a wonderful day and would certainly do it again. The views from Mt. Wellington on a clear day were spectacular and I can't say enough of the experience at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. What a fantastic park, the Kangaroos are not fenced in so you walk right up to them, touch and feed from your hand. In addition, other animals native to Australia are there and in close proximity to view. We loved the place and fortunately our guide managed our schedule to give us a full two hours there.

Small group tour from Hobart was absolutely wonderful and a must see! Our driver and guide, David was a wealth of knowledge and answered our questions without hesitation. We saw the wonderful views from Mt Wellington just as the sea mist started to fill the sky's. Just to warn you, although the temperature in the city of Hobart was about 21 degrees C, the temperature on top of the mountain was 8 degrees C and that was cold. We have to say the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was the highlight of the tour and cannot be missed! The work they are doing here is a must for the animals and it's the people who visit here that allow these animals to be looked after in the manner they deserve. We saw and petted a Wambat, a Koala and watched the feeding of the Tasmanian Devils and fed the Kangaroos. What an experience! Richmond Historic Village is small and the time allotted not really long enough to do much exploring on your own. All in All.......do it.

Our small group consisted of 5 people. The views over Hobart from the top of Mt. Wellington were stunning. I love wildlife, so the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was my favorite part of the tour. We got to pet a wombat, hug a koala and hand feed kangaroos. The Tasmanian Devil feeding was a strictly hands off affair. It consumed everything including the bone. We had only an our to see the historic village of Richmond and that included getting a bite for lunch. That's doable if you just get a quick bite to go at the bakery. This compact little village features the oldest Catholic Church in Australia, the oldest stone span bridge in Australia and the oldest intact jail in Australia. We liked the small sized group because we were able to visit highlights of the local area in half the time required by larger group tours.

Tour was excellent. We had a lot of low hanging clouds so could not get the view from Mt. Wellington so Garreth, the owner and operator of the enterprise, took us to alternate sites to see as much of Hobart as possible. Not enough superlatives can be said about Bonorong. The high light of this tour!

It was beautiful experience for us. Due to poor weather the road to Mt Wellington was closed but our tour guide ensured that we didn't miss out and took us up Mt Nelson!! Whist on the mountain we had a snow storm :)

Awesome tour! The owner of the company, Gareth, was our driver and we had him all to ourselves so this was a very special, personalised tour. We visited Battery Park, Mount Wellington, Richmond, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Gareth was kind enough to also take us to a cheese and wine tasting, so the tour end up being almost 1,5hrs longer than planned. Highly recommendable tour!

Well-rounded tour of Hobart - Views, Wildlife and History!!!

We really enjoyed this small group tour of Hobart and the surrounding areas! It had a great variety of sights and activities... Mt. Wellington itself and the view from it's summit was gorgeous! We saw a lot of the Tasmanian landscape along the guided drive before enjoying Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Kangaroos run wild there, and you are able to feed and pet them for free! We also got the opportunity to learn about and even pet a young wombat and a koala, and see many other animals there such as the Tasmanian Devil and pygmy Possum. We also enjoyed our free time at Historic Richmond... This part of the tour was unguided, but you were given an overview and directions to the attractions. Overall it was a great tour, however, they could have organized the departure times at each site better. And our guide had some issues with his microphone headset...
