Was absolutely amazing! I was the only person on the tour so it was great that it wasn't cancelled and my tour guide has great relationships with the staff of the places you go so you get a really special experience that you possibly wouldn't get otherwise. He also has a well of local knowledge so I learnt a lot! Thankyou so much I highly recommend this tour!

book for a small-group tour, ended up going alone,
it was such an amazing experience on top of my private tour.
Gareth knows his way around.
Airwalk was the highlight of the trip, followed by the Boronong Sanctuary.

Great tour. Highly recommend as this trip is three trips in one. Cruise ships does not offer this cost efficient itinerary.

I loved the Tahune AirWalk and the drive down along the Huon River, etc. Gareth Bailey made sure I got to do the trip even though I was the only one booked for that day.

There was a mix up at first, but the tour operator solved the problem. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. There was cold water available with a fridge on board the vehicle. Recommend tour to all. Loved the airwalk and the forest. Trees are huge.

I chose this tour because it was a small group tour. I was very lucky to be the only one. Garrett didnt cancel the tour. Instead he rearranged the tour to fit everything that I wanted to see. He even extended the tour by 2 hours. I enjoyed my own private tour conducted at a leisurely pace.

3 star rating: Worth doing May 2017

This tour was an excellent value for what we saw, but I only gave it three stars because I felt our tour guide was lacking. On the positive, because the tour company only had a few people booked for two slightly different tours, he combined the two and we received a free visit to Richmond. On the drive to Richmond our guide filled us with information. However, after that he was more like a driver only. Perhaps he was filling in for the usual guide??? Although the view was beautiful as we drove up Mt. Wellington, the fog at the top obscured the view. Although I am slightly fearful of heights, I was totally comfortable walking on the Tahune Airwalk and loved the experience. We were driven to the access of the Airwalk and did not have to walk up any steps. This is a positive for our tourguide who arranged this. We did not have time to traverse the swinging bridges, but that was fine with me. The Huon pines are not beneath the Airwalk. There are only a few left, and they can be seen on the river walk, a great hike which I highly recommend. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is fantastic, a must do. Even though I am slightly fearful of animals, I handfed a kangaroo. Because of our timing we only caught a few minutes of the sanctuary's included tour. I wish we could have been there for the entire tour.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better January 2016

The driver drove the car to the places supposed to be his home and another house without informing us when driving back to the cruise terminal. It cost extra time and made delay back to the town for shopping, as almost all stores been closed upon arrival the cruise terminal.....

1 star rating: I do not recommend this May 2017

This tour was extremely disappointing. We had one day in Hobart and were really excited for this, but we spent most of the day on the bus and were unable to even go to Bonorong due to spending so much time driving around. The tour operator allowed 5 people to jump on in addition to our group of 4. These people did not pay ahead of time and completely dominated the tour from choosing where we went to lunch and how long we stayed at Tahune. The tour operator was basically pushed around the entire time by this group and did stay on schedule at all. We were only able to spend about 30 minutes at Mount Wellington and 30 minutes at Tahune across an 8 hour day, and the rest of the time was spent in the car. The exception to this was a lengthy stop for lunch chosen by this other group and the tour guide did nothing to get them back into the bus or to control the situation. They did give us a partial refund because we couldn't go to Bonorong, but that was our once in a lifetime opportunity to go and it was completely missed. Complete waste of money.
