Hoi An Old Town Food Tour by Night

Hoi An Old Town Food Tour by Night

Join this Hoi An food tour to discover what happens when the sun sets - a great way to cool off and enjoy all of the delicacies Vietnam has to offer.

Your tour begins as you walk through local cafes, food vendors, markets, restaurants, etc. By the end of your tour, you are sure to be satisfied.

Firstly, you will visit a local bakery famous for their bahn mi, a Vietnamese sandwich! They have been using the freshest ingredients to make these scrumptious sandwiches for decades and it is no wonder that they are famous!

Moving on from one local delicacy to another, you will join locals at a quaint local spot to try the tasty BBQ pork rolled in rice paper. This is served with a typical soy dipping sauce. This is known to most locals as the highlight of the food scene in Hoi An.

Then you will continue onward to the central market where you will visit some local food stalls with produce, noodles, sweets, fruit and fresh seafood! You and your guide will stroll through as you are given the full rundown of the market and informing you about the signficance of each food item in the Vietnamese cuisine and culture.

Then, you'll follow your guide to one of their favorite restaurants in Hoi An for some specialties: deep fried wonton and white rose dumplings.

After some dumplings, you are in for another round of delicacies as you will arrive at a street vendor famous for chicken rice. But be sure to save some space for dessert at a local home.

Afterward, you will end the tour at a local cafe in an iconic location. Have some Vietnamese coffee or beer and take in the scenery while reflecting on everything you ate during the tour!

This was so much fun! Our guide spoke English well and shared a lot of information about the town, the country, and the food we were enjoying. I wish I could remember her name so I could recommend her specifically. We had plenty of food without getting stuffed, and all of it was tasty. The pace was good as was the food. Our guide was very patient with those wanting to take pictures and helped direct everyone back to their hotel at the end of the tour. Highly recommended.

We had a lot of fun on this tour experiencing various different foods available in Hoi An. The market had to be a highlight for us, although I always love Banh Xi. Lots of different types of food, beautiful views and interesting lessons about how the food is prepared - definitely recommended!

This was a great experience! We wanted to taste some street food and felt this was the safest way to do it. The Vietnamese rolls were the best I have tasted. Great value tour!

Remember 2 buy old town ticket before tour. You can use the 5 entry vouchers anytimemail, it's well worth visiting some of the old residences ano meeting places. 8 English speakers in our tour with a good guide and about 5 different stops trying local food. An enjoyable couple of hours and time afterwards to chat over a beer on the waterfront. We ate at places we probably wouldn't have tried but they were all good and had reserved seats for us.

We had a very enjoyable evening with our Guide Thi Bong Pham. We enjoyed the sites and tried places to eat that we would not have found or ventured on our own. The food was very authentic Vietnamese, very tasty and of a lot of different varieties and venues. We also got to enjoy various areas of the old quarter that we would not have explored on our own. They catered to our dietary requirements. Don't hesitate to try the adventure.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our foodie tour with Vu. He was a very knowledgeable guide with good English and gave us an excellent insight to the Vietnamese people and their culture. We liked being part of a group and sharing stories amongst each other. Each food stop was a different experience and we would never have tried some of the dishes or found the restaurants down dark alleys on our own. Finishing up at the river was a great way to end a great experience. As another reviewer pointed out, it would be helpful to be given a list and addresses of each place visited on the night so we could find them again another time. Arrive hungry and enjoy!
