We had a very enjoyable evening with our Guide Thi Bong Pham. We enjoyed the sites and tried places to eat that we would not have found or ventured on our own. The food was very authentic Vietnamese, very tasty and of a lot of different varieties and venues. We also got to enjoy various areas of the old quarter that we would not have explored on our own. They catered to our dietary requirements. Don't hesitate to try the adventure.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our foodie tour with Vu. He was a very knowledgeable guide with good English and gave us an excellent insight to the Vietnamese people and their culture. We liked being part of a group and sharing stories amongst each other. Each food stop was a different experience and we would never have tried some of the dishes or found the restaurants down dark alleys on our own. Finishing up at the river was a great way to end a great experience. As another reviewer pointed out, it would be helpful to be given a list and addresses of each place visited on the night so we could find them again another time. Arrive hungry and enjoy!

Great host! Really took care of everyone. The food selection was nice and they were all dishes that are special in Hoi An. The only tiny thing they could improve on is maybe give the guests a list of the names of the restaurants they have visited. We wanted to go back to the same place for dinner the next day but could not because there was no way we could remember how to get there, with so many bends and alleys. All in all, really good for value and a fun experience!

This was an extremely good value for money trip that gave an interesting and enjoyable insight into Vietnamese food. We visited several local places and had the chance to sample many different dishes that were all excellent. Many of the places were off the main street and we would not have found them without our excellent tour guide, who gave a great insight into local cooking methods and tasty dishes. we had plenty to eat on the tour and did not need to eat out at the end of the night as we were both full after sampling some great local dishes.

Our tour guide's name is Bao Huynh.
Till this day, I still kept in contact with him because he is so worth making friends with!
I believe we all learnt alot of Vietnam, both the good and the bad from him. Non-curated conversations.
Reminded me of how fortunate I am to have what I have.

I signed up for this tour with my husband. Both of us thought that the experience we gained from this tour was fantastic!
The meet up point was really hard to find for us who aren't familiar with the neighbourhood so you might want to get a cab from your hotel to the place. Especially if your hotel lies along the beach resort area.

We had a comfortable group of 10. My husband and I are introverts so it's hard to start a topic. However, the people we met from the tour group were so friendly. All of us are from different parts of the world so it was an interesting cultural exchange.

From the meeting point, Bao, the tour guide led us to Hoi An old town. I felt that the walk itself was already a very good experience. As Singaporean, we have never experienced jaywalking when the road is flooded with vehicles. It was kinda scary and thrilling haha.
Of course, Bao took good care of us! As we walk, he introduced to us some of the local cuisines and dishes we might want to try. I was actually surprised that our first stop was one of the most raved shops, mentioned in Tripadvisor.

Beware of long queues!!! Thank goodness we were with the tour group, time seem to fly while we wait for our food.
I'm pretty sure the shop prepared some in advance as well too but the wait didn't seem too long.
The Banh Mi is so cripsy! It's so much better than subway sandwiches. I'll never look at sandwiches the same way ever again TvT.

After our first stops, there are alot of places I do not remember. Vietnamese names are really hard to remember!
But the catch was this, the subsequent places that Bao took us to, you will NEVER have come across it without a local with you!!!
The 10 of us were super amazed that we get to eat traditional vietnamese food in well hidden alleys. Some are even residential-looking eateries. I really love the quaint atmosphere!!! I really like the place where there was this songbird in the cage. Feels really good to be dining near the greens and with the bird chirping.

Without our tour guide, we would never had venture that deep into the residential areas for those delicious homey food!!! And because of that, I really felt that our money was well spent on this tour.
I loved every foodie I got to try that night. So, don't be worried that the list of places isn't listed in details on Viator. You wouldn't regret it.
I wouldn't spoil you any further. There is a reason why this is a recommended tour in Hoi An .

Please look forward to this food tour.

We enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to all. We experienced great Vietnamese food and met some of the best chefs in Hoi an.
A walk though the night markets was worthwhile and the guide shared her knowledge of the life of Vietnamese people. A great night.

This was a fun way to learn about different types of vietnamese food. it helped us gain confidence in eating at the food markets later, and took us to small back alley restaurants that we would never have found or tried on our own. A great tour an an introduction to Hoi An old city eateries.

Essential tour in Hoi An in my opinion. Our guide Flora was fantastic explaining food and culture as we weaved our way through the beautiful streets of the town. The food itself was the best we had in Vietnam, local knowledge is everything.

A foodie walking tour through the Old Town, this one commencing early evening. Our guide, Luong, took us to a popular banh mi shop, food stall in the market, a stop at Madame Lim's street side stall for chicken rice and finally for coconut crackers and a beer riverside. The food stops were at small local traders, which we appreciated, as it gave us a taste and overview of how and what locals would eat. Luong was a delight, very knowledgeable and good humoured, whilst trying to herd 12 hungry tourists around the Old Town. Highly recommended short tour, especially with Luong.

The Lady was very nice and informative. We got a lo of information besides the food. The food was excellent and after the tour we returned many times to the food hall and the banh mi stand.
