Receive a morning pickup by your guide at your Hong Kong hotel and then transfer by ferry to Cheung Chau Island.
Start your visit to this unique Hong Kong island community by visiting Pak Tai Temple, a religious shrine that offers an excellent example of traditional Chinese architectural techniques. Follow your temple visit by enjoying some beach time at Tung Wha Beach, a shore location that is also home to a number of bronze-age carvings.
Continue your island excursion with a ride aboard a traditional wooden “sampan,” which will take you to the one-time hangout of notorious pirate Cheung Po Tsai. Take a break midday for an included dim sum lunch, then finish your excursion with a visit to Tin Hau, a temple dedicated to the goddess of the sea which dates back more than two centuries.
After your temple visit, you’ll return to central Hong Kong by ferry. Your excursion will end at the ferry pier, where you’ll make your own way back to your hotel.
