We took this tour on our 2nd day in Hong Kong. We loved it. We had wonderful food, walked thru the street market and went to the candy store for dessert. She taught us about her culture. I just love food tours. This one was great.

We enjoyed the tour with Lilian very much. She was delightful and well informed not only about the interesting foodie places we visited but about the historic parts of Hong Kong we walked through and she took time to answer our questions. If we were back in HK we should certainly visit the noodle shop and the pastry shop again!! The sugar cane juice/herbal tea shop was unusual as was the preserved fruits and the dim sum pork dumplings were not surpassed anywhere. She also knows the source of the best egg tarts in HK! No need to take water as Lilian provided it. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Take a good appetite!!

Yammy was a fabulous guide for our food tour. She speaks impeccable English, has enthusiasm for her job as a guide and was interested in us. We thoroughly enjoyed her and the delicious food served on this tour. One of the best food tours that we’ve taken. You won’t be disappointed!

If you dont do anything else in Hong Kong - do this tour! Yammy is amazing and so informative with much more than the food. We enjoyed every minute. It was the best thing we did while we were there.

Yammie did a fantastic job to introduce us to the various places with a lot of inside and a good sense of humor. After this tour we had the impression we have seen Hong Kong behind the scenes, heard and felt the story of Hong Kong and last but not least went into restaurants we would never gone by ourselves to explore. This tour is very interesting to get a deep inside into Hong Kong even if food is not the most important topic in your live - if you have dietary requirements just inform here before the tour and she will make sure through the tour you will also get food you will be able to eat!

Wonderful tour and a great way to sample many great foods all from local, family run businesses. Yammy, was very informative and provided us with plenty of information about the foods, the city and was kind enough to offer personal recommendations. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it.

Our guide was wonderful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we learned about the food but did not find the food itself as exceptional as we anticipated. Of the five foods my recollection, we really enjoyed two.

Wonderful walking tour. Invited into the cooking area of 2 restaurants, sampled dried fruit, everything was explained to us. Plenty to eat and hear the local history.

Our guide, Yammy, was highly knowledgeable and informative. Our group had about 10 people, and I'm sure I could speak for all of us in saying that we thoroughly enjoyed the tour! You'll be eating lots, so skip lunch before meeting up if you can.
The food was delicious, and the tips for ordering local food were invaluable for later in our holiday.
I highly recommend this tour.

I've taken a lot of tours all over the world and this is one of the best! Our guide Yammy was excellent. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she was able to share so much with us about daily life, the culture, and of course, the food.

The places we visited were exceptional, each with something different to offer. We started with the most amazing wonton soup, really delicious. Our second stop included a generous bowl of barbecue pork, which was the best I've ever had. The quick peek into the kitchen was very cool. Sugar cane juice and a quick lesson on herbal medicines at our third stop. Preserved fruit candy at our fourth stop, which I have to say, my western palette liked some better than others. : Our fifth stop included some of the best dim sum I've ever had, followed by a pastry at our last stop. It was interesting to learn that most restaurants in Hong Kong cook their food elsewhere and then bring it in. . .rents are just so high! Each restaurant we visited had a kitchen on-site, which resulted in exceptional food.

In all, so much food that we couldn't finish it all. And the walking tour was fascinating. A trip through a couple markets, discussions about banyon trees and rent costs, and a peek into an alley-way barber. Really an interesting look into daily life in Hong Kong.

This was my first trip to Hong Kong and I highly recommend this tour. There are so many food options that I was overwhelmed. I would have never found any of these places on my own. Take the tour and ask for Yammy. She was great.
