Very interesting trip with knowledgeable guides Michelle and Richard who looked after us really well. The trip had lots of variety. A highlight was the kindergarten, as well as the history of the region.
Excellent guide - mindblowing and eye opening day. Well worth the money.
Another outstanding day trip to mainland China using boat, bus and train. Fascinating look at two major cities in China. The sights, the people and the food. A must see and do adventure!
It was a great way for a brief view of China, without the hassle of a full visa. Panda's were wonderful, lunch was great. Only fault would be the quality of the English of the Tour Guide that met us in China, could be better.
Great one day excursion from Hong Kong. As US citizens we didn't need a visa. Process to submit copy of passport in advance was simple. We spent a lot of time on the bus and the train, but if you want to get into mainland China from Hong Kong to see it and say you've been there, this is a great tour.

This tour was great. Got to see a lot of wonderful sights and pandas and some were more active than others. Everything went very smooth and even though it was a long day it was well worth it.
Well run trip, my first insight into China and to be honest it totally changed my perception of it.
If you are in Hong Kong and want a small taste of China that's all organised for you this is great trip.
Great day. Saw a lot and had a wonderful tour guide. She was very nice and informative and caring. China was amazing.
Really enjoyed my trip to Guangzhou. Terrific tour guides. very friendly. The pandas were awake and amazing to watch. Tour takes a ferry there and you come back on the train. Lovely lunch. Went to a market. No super markets there. Many very interesting things there. Went to a temple and Jade factory. Beautiful jade ! Very interesting trip. Loved all the tours I took with Viator.
Had an absolutely excellent time. If you are going to Hong Kong and have never been to Mainland China and want to, this is the tour for you. Everything except tips and souvenirs is included, and its quite nice to have your visa taken care of for you customs is a little scary for westerns, I think. We got a great feel for the region of south China and got to see so many amazing things- big cities, a kindergarten the kids are so cute and friendly, Guangzhou's thriving food market, real terracotta warriors from Xian, the Sun Yat Sen cultural memorial, PANDAS!! Lunch at the Fragrant Lotus House is SO GOOD- its authentic dim sum vegetarian options are available as well. Cannot recommend highly enough. Michelle and Albert, our tour guides, were fantastic as well.
WOW! What an experience. We were in Hong Kong for just three nights decided to spend one whole day in China with this tour. This was one the best days in our 13 day multi country tour. Well planned, good locations chosen to visit, two cities visited, few other stops, filled with content, minimal walking if that is an issue for some, authentic Dim Sum in a 122 old year restaurant for lunch ... it is not going to get more authentic than that!, fantastic trip and fantastic experience. You will ride a High Speed Ferry, a Tour Bus and a high speed train, all clean, comfortable, air conditioned, modern, safe, etc. The guides were simply outstanding. Both guides were so knowledgable but more impressive was their English. So well spoken and articulate. No boring parts on this trip. You will get chances to catch a couple of naps on the 2 hour bus ride from the first city to the second city and on the train ride back to Hong Kong. Lunch is late, like 2:30 PM, late because your pickup was around 7:00 AM-ish. So best to pack a few snacks to hold you until then. I was able to purchase gifts in China using HK dollars, I was surprise that the merchants accepted the HK currency. Be prepared to take lots of photos if you have never been to China.
This is a tour we thoroughly enjoyed. Our guide, who was with us throughout, was informative, friendly and helpful. We also had another guide join us for the mainland China portion of the trip. Be prepared to absorb a lot of information.
Its an early start. We needed to be at the pickup point at 7.30am. It was a hotel about 10 minutes walk from ours in Causeway Bay. We joined 11 others and proceeded in a coach to the ferry terminal. here we had an opportunity to grab a coffee and bite to eat before the catamaran left at 9am. Warning, do have breakfast or eat at this point as we didn't get lunch until after 3pm ! The journey to Shenzhen gives some amazing views of Hong Kong from the water and takes about an hour. The visit to the kindergarten was special ! The pandas were asleep but the whole experience there at the zoo was interesting. I found the terracotta exhibition fascinating but maybe too much time spent here. The drive to Guangzhou took around two hours but it was a great insight into life bordering the fast road. On arrival we enjoyed a Dim Sum lunch in the old part of the city before embarking on a walking tour of the area including the markets. Fascinating to say the least. Further stops at a temple and memorial hall as well as a drive around this major, very dynamic, city.
The day ended with us catching an express train back into Hong Kong taking just under two hours before a coach pickup back to our original departure point. We got back to our hotel at 9pm.
I wouldn't have missed this tour for anything. Informative and insightful I had to pinch myself at times that I was actually there.
Its a long day and yes we could have done with a 'coffee stop' and yes lunch is mid afternoon. But hey what an opportunity to visit a tiny but significant part of China in a day.
In a small group of 9 which was ideal.Extremely well organised with very little waiting about and walking amazing considering the logistics involved. Kindergarten kids were enchanting and we arrived as they were doing their daily 10 min of PE. Both HK and China reps full of facts and figures and tended to get info overload at times. Did not enjoy the Dim Sum meal at all but this would be the case anywhere. Back to hotel at 11.30pm satisfied and contented.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Michelle, our guide was really lovely and very knowledgeable as well as our guide in China. The lunch was great and walking through the local markets in Guangzhou was a real eye opener. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hong Kong and wanting a taste of Chinese culture.
It is a good trip to China and you do see Panda bears in the safari park. Excellent Guide and Tour leaders. One suggestion is to take plenty of drink and food because you don't get a lovely Chinese lunch until 2.45pm in Guangzhou. The total mileage traveled in China one way is 190kms on motorways. The fast ferry to China and return Train travel to Hong Kong are excellent. Its a really a good day trip into China and we really enjoyed it.
We enjoyed this well-organised day tour into China. Overall, it was an highly informative and stimulating day. Prior details re visas and border crossings were handled efficiently we were picked up as arranged by our friendly guide, taken aboard the high-speed catamaran to Shenzhen where we boarded a bus with a well-informed local guide who told us all about the history and development of the area. Highlights were the pandas, the terracotta warriors, the authentic old market and artisans in Guangzhou, the impressive dim sum lunch at a restaurant you won't eat it all and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. All finished off with a restful high-speed rail trip back to HK. Excellent value for money.
Very organized tour...eveything was explained ..why what how where and when every step of the way...would have liked to spend more time at the farmers markets and surrounding street shops....just to purchase some goods and give something back to the community :-)
Enjoyed this trip however felt it was a bit rushed.
Tour guide was very good and knowledgeable would definitely recommend.
