I had the best time during this food tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting -- or even living in -- HK. I was lucky to have Mel, a Hong Kong native, as my guide. He was extremely informative, both about the food we sampled and the culture and history of Hong Kong. We had more than enough great things to eat, ranging from savory to sweet, over the course of the day. This included delicious dim sum, noodles, egg tarts, milk tea, and barbecued pork. I've been on food tours in the U.S. where you're given just a tiny taste of each item, but this wasn't the case here: we got full-sized portions at each stop! While that might seem like a lot, there was also plenty of walking over the course of the four hours, so I was never uncomfortably full. I have already recommended this to friends and loved ones who will be in town, and I would recommend it to anyone else with a strong appetite and a hunger for knowledge forgive the pun! I'll also note that my boyfriend couldn't join me for the tour, but it actually worked out great, as everyone in the group that day was flying solo. This is something you could definitely do with a friend/partner or on your own.
This was such great and I truly got to see how Hong Kong was from a local perspective.
This was an awesome tour! The information we were sent after booking gave all the details we needed in order to meet our guide. Our guide was Nicole and our group was a great size at just 9 of us. Nicole made the tour really fun, giving us lots of information on the areas we visited, local culture and of course the food we tried. Talking of food, it was delicious!! The info pack recommends not to eat breakfast, which is good advice as we got to eat so much!! There is some walking involved, up some short hills and steps so make sure you're comfortable with walking prior to booking. But the walking part is great as you get to walk through various markets and look at local shops. Having completed the tour, we found we had more confidence to chose to eat at local places and try new foods.
Excellent time visiting various restaurants and food stalls on Hong Kong Island with Jess.
Well-organized and excellent food.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting Hong Kong.
Been to HK couple of times and always going to the touristy places. Booked the group tour since I have a morning to kill and it turns out to be the highlight of my visit.
The Tour was informative and filling to its literal sense because the foods are amazing Sure, I can buy Dim Sums, Wonton Noodle Soup, Milk Tea, Char Siu and Egg Tart elsewhere but the place that we've been to are authenticly Hong Kong.
Above it all, Nicole is fantastic. She is well informed, cheerful and easy to talk to. I will book another tour with the company when I go back and will recommend it to friends that are visiting HK.
Lots of walking, but incredible experience. There is no way you could find these gems in Hong Kong without an expert guide.
This was a fun tour around the western district of Hong Kong Island. Our guide, Nicole, provided a running commentary on everything from food to Chinese medicine and local history while we walked or rode the double decker tram to various restaurants where the locals eat. Great experience!
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. Ben was a passionate and knowledgeable guide with lots of helpful tips. We started with breakfast of Yum Cha. Not only was the food delicious but it was a great way to start the tour as we got to talk to the others in the group around the round table. We ate at places we would never have found ourselves and where the locals ate. We particularly enjoyed the experience of the restaurant serving the Char Sui. The food was tasty but it was the frenetic atmosphere of the restaurant that is not to be missed. A most enjoyable few hours, and as the food was plentiful, make sure you bring your appetite.
This was the highlight of our visit to Hong Kong. Our guide, Richard was knowledgeable, interesting, and just plain nice! We had amazing food in local places that we never would have found on our own. Thank you, Richard.
A great tour with Matt as our guide who was exceptional, found new places and tried food we hadn't before along with lots of other info about the local area and Hong Kong, a great way to spend 4 hours, highly recommended

Excellent tour. Our guide Kiki was very knowledgeable about Hong Kong and we got a good flavor of it's history. The food stops we made were delicious!
Great tour for locals as well as visitors. We all learned so much about classic Cantonese cuisine, tasted food from Michelin star spots that we would have never found on our own, and toured multiple parts of the city. Richard was our guide and did a wonderful job. His enthusiasm and care for each participant was exceptional!
Wow, this Food walking tour totally exceeded our expectations!! I am a foodie and was excited to have the opportunity to eat at a Michelin Star Restaurant...little did I know that we were going to eat at 3 different Michelin Star Restaurants!! Nicole was a fantastic guide and she shared many stories and loads of information about the city that we would not have known. We were so lucky to have a small group, only 5 of us including Nicole, making easier to get into many of the restaurants. MOst of the places we went, we would never have found on our own....every looking for them. The Dim Sum was out of this world, the Milk Tea surprisingly delicious, and the Roasted Meat - Char Siu BBQ Pork and steamed Bok Choy was....life changing and I can't forget the yummy custard pie! I highly reccommend this tour! Do be sure to COME HUNGRY!!

An excellent way to get to know the real Hong Kong food. Our tour guide Ben was very informative and friendly. The food and company in our group of 5 was great and we had a really enjoyable few hours of eating, walking and talking. Thanks Ben!
Really nice food tour! We have been on places you cannot find on your own. Same with the great food! This tour is definitely really expensive, but it's worth the money.
This has been one of the best tours we have taken. Our guide Ben was informative and friendly. We ate in places you wouldn't even know existed. All the food options were well chosen by Ben and were delicious. Not only did we taste different foods on the tour but Ben also showed us street markets and a temple a long the way.The walk was easy and we learnt so much about Hong Kong. This was my 6th visit to Hong Kong and of all the different tours and experiences HK has to offer this is one tour I would suggest you don't miss. We ate yum cha, wonton noodle soup, at the same restaurant Anthony Bourdain ate, milk tea, egg tart and char sui. All of it beautiful. Thanks Hello Hong Kong.
This was the best of the tours. Our guide from Happy Hong Kong was very knowledgeable. We traveled quite a bit in the city and got to taste great popular local foods and drinks. The day start off with a typical HK breakfast which my wife still talks about. We then sampledmultiple foods and drinks while touring different parts of the city and learning about the sights, culture, and the people. All the food and drink was included in the price. Guide had tables reserved at the food stops or knew the owners well enough that we got seated after a short wait -- even at a Michelin rated spot. Guide was very helpful in making suggestions for things to do for the rest of our stay in HK. This tour is a must and worth every penny.
This walking food tour was one of the best highlights of our trip to SE Asia. The food we sampled was great, our Australian ex-pat guide was charming and knowledgeable overall we highly recommend this tour. Probably the best Viator experience we ever had
Highly recommended...A MUST DO when visiting Hong Kong. Experience and taste the traditional delicacies of Hong Kong. Jess ex-pat our tour guide was super amazing, very knowledgeable, informative and sweet. Understanding some of the culture, history and traditions of Hong Kong through food was invaluable, and having the opportunity to experience this through Jess was fantastic. Being our first time in Hong Kong, the food tour was well worth it, a not to be missed activity. Thank you Jess for making this food tour happy, memorable and loads of fun, we appreciated it and look forward to the next time...
We love to eat and now schedule a food tour wherever we can. Michael, our tour guide was terrific. Took us into places we never would have gone in, mostly frequented by the locals, to try wonderful dishes. From the dim sum to walking past and learning about the dried seafood to wonton soup to 2 varieties of pork, to milk tea and a sweet tart, it was a great way to spend half a day. My husband has a ginger allergy which, in Asia, is difficult to work around at times. Laura was great in letting us know what to avoid in advance. Don't think twice about whether to book this tour!
A great variety of food and some history included. We had a wonderful time and carried on with most of the group for a drink afterwards.
Our guide was very kind, knowledgeable and helped create a pleasurable experience. We highly recommend seeing HK through food, and look forward to doing this type of tour in other cities. Great experience.

It is really a fun way to explore HK, even I am a native, I have not had the chance to experience all those delicacy.
Our guide Nicole 'Cookie' provided the best experience and commentary possible. Not only the food but also the atmosphere. I love food and wine experiences and this would rate as one of the best. We felt like honoured locals.
