What To Expect

Climb aboard a distinctive open-air bus at the cowboy-themed Houston City Tours Visitor Center. Cruise through the vibrant Texan city, passing iconic landmarks like the Chase Tower and the Convention Center.

See Market Square Park and the vertiginous observation deck of the JP Morgan Chase Tower, Texas’ highest building.

Pass by City Hall to admire Tranquility Park and the historical structures that surround it. Absorb the electric atmosphere of the Theater District as you pass by the thriving 17-block area.

Your tour returns to its original departure point.

Not as advertised

The tour was advertised as a 80 minute tour of the city. The bus was 10 minutes late and the tour was only an hour, so the tour was 20 minutes short of what was advertised. Could not hear the tour guide as there was no speakers in the back of the bus and that part of the vehicle was exposed to the open air.

The tour was great but I know people had concerned about parking. It's crazy that you pay for parking and went on your tour and came back with your car booted. What a experience for someone first time visiting houston.

Not worth tour

Not worth your money or time. My tour at 11:30 got canceled and didn’t realize it was canceled until I got they. The lady was rude and told me she called me 1 time to tell me they moved it to a later tour. We did not ride on a double decker bus and the tour was extremely boring and short.

Me and my family of 4 took this tour as we were so excited to show my visiting family our beautiful city. We found this site as it clearly stated we were to “…Expect Climb aboard a distinctive open-air…“Enjoy unobstructed…..”. Perfect for our visiting family. We were very excited to show and see the great City of Houston on a very expensive $39.95 open air double decker city bus tour where we planned the whole day around it. We are and were very displeased with the tour. My family was in from PA and we took them to see historical and cultural delights of Houston on a fun guided panoramic sightseeing tour from a double decker bus! The bus broke down, which happens, but we should have been offered a refund. We were taken in a bus where we couldn't even see out of the windows, please see pics. I tried to rectify this by personally reaching out to the company multiple times, but all they offered in return was another complimentary tour due to the following… Houston City Tours 05:00 PM We understand you concern. However, the tour took place in the scheduled times, all the stops and landmarks were explored and all passengers had the accompaniment with the tour guide. The tour was completed and we offered all passengers what was included in the experience. We can offer you another complimentary city tour for you and your group so that you can take this experience fully in the double decker bus. We will be looking forward to your response. Time wasted

The trip wasn’t long and the bus had experience difficulties and we had to switch buses which made our trip shortened. At first the bus driver didn’t allow time for restroom breaks until we had to wait for another bus to show up. I just felt like I wasted my money and time.
