Following pickup at your Huatulco hotel around 6:30pm, travel to the Day of the Dead celebration in Huatulco.
Participate in the important festival, which honors those friends and relatives who have departed. As you explore, listen to engaging commentary from your guide, outlining the origin's Aztec and Catholic origins.
Visit a cemetery and see the ofrendas, or offerings, spread out around the graves: pan de muertos (bread of the dead), sugar skulls, and homemade altars. Learn about the pantheons of Santa María Atzompa and Santa Cruz Xoxocotlan, and observe the thousands of lit candles and marigolds.
At the conclusion of this authentic cultural experience, return to your hotel for drop-off.
