Great Sushi Cooking Class Experience

We had a wonderful experience learning the fundamentals of making a full course sushi meal thanks to Fumi and her assistant. Fumi taught us how to properly make, from scratch, an awesome plate of Nigiri sushi, Gunkan Maki, Maki sushi, tofu miso soup, and chicken yakitori. We learned how to season and roll the sushi rice with our bare hands. We learned how to make the tamagoyaki which is a Japanese rolled omelette using a small rectangular pan that makes it easier to shape and roll the omelette, layer by layer. Fumi did a great job teaching us how to roll the seaweed to make the maki course. She also taught us how to make the tofu miso soup which rivals the ones we’ve had in restaurants. Finally, she taught us how to make the chicken yakitori by marinading the chicken meat and putting them onto skewers and then grilling them. We literally learned how to make a full course meal which was awesome and it tasted great. Fumi and her assistant were very professional, profoundly polite, extremely friendly and impeccably patient. All of these qualities made our experience a wonderful one. When we got back home, we were able to recreate the meal at home and it was great practice. All in all, we had a wonderful experience learning the art and science of making a sushi course. We would highly recommend this Sakura Cook course to Osaka visitors. Thank you Fumi!

Amazing class with amazing teacher

I was absolutely enjoying my class with Fumi :) It turned out I was only one participant and it made my experience even more unique :) Fumi provided all information about cooking processes as well as some background knowledge about umami or bonito et cetera, I had no idea what it were before. We spend time together, cooking meals step by step in friendly and convenient environment. Now I can cook miso soup, teppanyaki chicken and sushi and it turned out to be pretty easy to me :) Thanks a lot to Fumi for that great time and for amazing dessert I took on my flight home and it was amazing!
