My tour guide Mustafa is very knowledgeable and friendly. He even allows me to add one more place, Hagia Eirene, to visit. It's worth to have private tour guide, much better than group tour.

Umut was our tour guide and she was absolutely fantastic. We were picked up right on time at our hotel in a beautiful car. Drive was quick and began right on schedule. It was a great tour coving all we could ask for in Istanbul. Umut was extremely knowledgable and was basically a walking history book. She made us feel comfortable and helped us navigate the lines at the different places we went to and always got us in quickly. It was liking going to a fancy club and knowing the owner to get in quicker. She was great and not overbearing, giving us times to check out places for ourselves as well. We had done similar tours in different cities and Umut was BY FAR the BEST we have ever had. Similar tours you know they are bringing us to places that they get kickbacks from and that obviously was not the case with Umut. In fact the stores she took us to in the Bazar you could tell she just happened to really like because she was buying things from them too. Not only that when vendors were trying to take advantage of us with some higher prices she quickly took us away from them and to people giving us a much more fair deal. I would highly recommend her as well as this tour in general. To be totally honest I must confess if any of my friends or family decide to take this tour I wont let them do it unless Umut is their tour guide. 5 stars I'snt enough, I would give her 6 if they let me.

We had a wonderful guide, Volkan who took great care of us. The tour was excellent and we loved it. We saw all of the major sites in Istanbul in 2 days and fell in love with the city. He also took us to restaurants where we could try local specialties for lunch.

I booked the three-day tour for myself and my mum in the first week of April 2018. Pre-departure communication with tour co-ordinator Melissa was excellent- prompt replies and clear with details of the tour, payment, timings etc. We had a day trip planned mid-week and Melissa was very accommodating, helpfully allowing us to arrange our three-day tour around it. Our tour guide was Volkan whose in-depth knowledge of Istanbul's history and passion for his country created an informative and enriching 3-day experience. Volkan provided brilliant insight into the life, culture and society of 21st century Turkey, as well as animating each sight with fabulous tales of the past and obligingly answering any and every question we had! He was incredibly professional throughout arriving on time on all three days and is very kind and personable. We had lunch in some great places too- we especially enjoyed the stop for bozo, a centuries old traditional Turkish drink. My mum and I really enjoyed ourselves- and my mum is a difficult audience to please! If your budget allows for it, do opt for the full three day tour- the beauty of Suleymaniye Mosque and frescoes at Chora Church are really well-worth it. The walk through Fener district, seeing all the old wooden mansions dating from the Ottoman period juxtaposed with modern-day local life was a really special off-the-beaten-track experience, and nice break from the usual tourist pit-stops. In sum, I couldn't recommend Guided Istanbul Tours more highly and will certainly be booking future tours with them the next time I make a trip to Turkey.

We took the 1 day tour with our guide, Metin who was very knowledgable, fun and professional throughout. He met us at our hotel at the pre arranged time and we spent over 6 hours together visiting the 5 key sites mentioned in the tour. He also took us to a great place for lunch. I would definitely recommend 'Best of Istanbul' private guided tour and ask for Metin.

Excelente!!!!

I was traveling with my 19 year old daughter in late March.
We have done many walking tours all through Europe and this was our first private guided tour.
It is not a cheap product but it is really worth.
We were very lucky with our Guide, Nur. She was a friendly, well documented guided who tried to understand our interests and balanced my interest in history with my daughter's.
Nur proposed alternatives and changes to the initial itinerary based on what we had already seen, queues, and weather conditions.
She was also very helpful dealing with the folks in the Gran Bazaar. Bargaining there is not an easy tasks and she was helpful there too. That is a plus if you plan to buy stuff and are not the kind of guy that enjoys bargaining with the bests.
To me the greatest value of the two days were the wandering around, some local spots, the time saved in queues, and the conversation with a local person on the history and social aspects of the country.
Nur did a great job and made us enjoy the city, we had the impression that she took a personal interest on us and that is always great when you are a visitor or a customer and can be perceived and treated as another guy in the long queue.
Thanks Nur

We recently did a two day tour of Istanbul with Mustafa as our guide. On the very first day we sat down and re-planned the tour. We were impressed by the flexibility shown by Mustafa. He not only accommodated the changes requested but also suggested changes within the overall programme. It turned out that he was very knowledgable about the monuments and bazaars and additionally, he took us to some delightful restaurants which cater to my specialised dietary requirements.

It did not end there. At the end of the first day, we decided to our hotel in a taxi. As taxi drivers are prone to do, the driver tried to overcharge and not go by the meter. Then he refused to take us, leaving us in the lurch in an alien town. Just as we were wondering what to do, Mustafa appeared as if by magic. It seems he saw the taxi going past without us and returned to find out what was wrong. He helped us find another taxi and reach home safely. It was a gesture beyond his normal course of duty and showed how much he cared for his clients.

My wife and I had a very agreeable tour of Istanbul, thanks to a very large part because we had Mustafa as our guide.

I would recommend Guided Istanbul Tours and Mustafa for a tour of Istanbul without hesitation

I've just completed an excellent walking tour of Istanbul. I was lucky enough to have Mustafa as my guide. His knowledge of the city and it's history was faultless . The tour was relaxed which made the whole day a very enjoyable one.
The itinerary was flexible and Mustafa went out of his way to take me to a few sights that I had an interest in that weren't mentioned on the tour . He also took me to a couple of great local restaurants that tourists don't normally visit- all the meals were superb.
I can highly recommend Mustafa's services to anyone wishing to do a similar tour.
