I always feel a bit uncomfortable seeing a religious experience / ritual turned into a tourist spectacle, but if it is to be done, these guys find a good tasteful way to do it. Not sure if there are competing dervish shows in Istanbul, but attend this one with confidence.
It was beautiful and moving. I highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates people expressing their spirituality.
This show is incredible and mesmerizing. I have never seen anything quite like it. Well worth a trip during your time in istanbul.
The Whirling Dervishes were truly spiritual. The venue was small enough to make the experience intimate and personal. We recommend this experience whole-heartedly to all visitor to Istanbul.
This was an amazing experience, not to be missed. I was impressed by the information related before and during the presentation, and the and #39;non -touristy and #39; atmosphere. Highly recommended if you and #39;re open to an alternative experiencie.
Wonderful setting and ceremony--well worth money, time, and effort to locate theater
Very interesting show but I loved it. Amazing how they can perform 45 mins without getting dizzy. I would recommend for people who wonders what Whirling Dervish is. Others may find it slow but I loved it. Unfortunately we can't take photos.

Fantastic - would recommend for all. The price was reasonable and the front desk staff was superb
A very impressive ceremony. Definitely worth the cultural experience in an historical setting.
Except for the fact that we once again were dropped off in the wrong place by taxi drivers in Istanbul, this show was delightful! I would certainly recommend it to anyone, and would go see it again!
Went last night it was a unique experience, we had a good half hour of the Dervishes dancing and the music was different but enjoyable. I'm pleased I went.
We loved the whirling dervish show after we found the theater. The theater was tucked away on a small street several streets removed from the main throughfare in the area. Precise directions to the theater from some landmark such as the Aya Sophia church would have been nice. The performance was mesmerizing and we enjoyed it and the accompanying music very much.
Make sure you get good directions! We walked for nearly an hour trying to find it! Not for children. This is a spiritual observance and is not a show. No photography and applause is not appropriate. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Time for dinner afterwards.
The tour was excellent! And the guide just perfect! Highly recommended!
Well worth going to, once we'd found the location! The booklet, along with the information projected onto the walls, provided ample information about the performance.
Very impressive and exciting to learn about and share this experience.

This is simply one of those things you have to truly experience to understand. I booked our tickets through Viator and we got up front seats! We honestly had Dervish skirts brushing our legs as they twirled. Believe me, this isn't merely men twirling around, it's a meditative state they enter....and they DON'T move from their spot as they spin....until they intend to. It's really a wonder to watch.
