What You Can Expect

Pamukkale Guided Day Trip from Kusadasi

See the theater of Hierapolis

After morning pickup from your Kusadasi hotel, travel in an air-conditioned vehicle for 2.5 hours to reach Pamukkale.

Stop at a restaurant in Denizli for a Turkish lunch. From Denizli you can see the brilliant white travertines of Pamukkale, which form from minerals deposited by the spring water.

When you arrive at Pamukkale, check out the ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient spa city that dates back to the second century BC. Your guide details the history of the area as you see the remains of a large amphitheater and graveyard.

Next, take in the surreal landscape of the travertines, the naturally formed terraces with pools of warm spring water that drip slender stalactites. Have time to dip your feet in the warm water and take photos of the sculptural natural wonders. Then head to the Cleopatra Pools — large pools filled with warm mineral waters. On the bottom of the pools, look for sections of marble columns that lined the pools in ancient times.

After a relaxing dip in the mineral waters, your driver returns to Kusadasi where your tour ends with hotel drop-off in the evening.
