  • Snacks, drinks and use of binoculars included
  • Small-group tour limited to 12 people ensures a more personalized experience

Why Travelers Choose This Tour

This safari uses an open-air vehicle to maximize wildlife viewing and photo ops.
From Teton Village near Jackson Hole, hop in a customized open-air vehicle (weather dependent), for a journey out on the rugged terrain of Grand Teton National Park. From the comfortable seat of your open-air vehicle, gaze up at the craggy summit of Grand Teton — the tallest mountain in the park — all the while feeling the wind in your hair as you journey out towards the woods. In the fall and winter, when the temperature drops, tours take place in a safari style vehicle that’s enclosed for comfort and warmth, and these small group tours have only 9 passengers in summer, and 10 passengers in winter.
During this Grand Teton wildlife tour, you’ll scour a part of the 310,000 acres that comprise the national park. Scan the landscape for the 60 species of mammals that live in the park, and keep an eye out overhead for over 300 species of birds. With binoculars provided by your local guide, try to spot elk, bears, bison, mule deer, moose, or wolves, and keep a lookout for ospreys, owls, hawks, and soaring bald eagles. You might even have a chance at seeing black and grizzly bears.
Aside from the wealth of wildlife, you’ll also experience the Snake River scenery as backed by the jagged mountains, and your guide will explain the geology and ecology before returning to Teton Village.
Note: Summer tours run from June 15 to August 31, and fall/winter tours are September 1 to June 14. Hotel pickup in the Jackson Hole area is available upon request.

Our tour guide, Devon is phenomenal. Devon makes you feel welcome and comfortable. She made sure everyone had their pictures of the animals and each other. We learned a lot about the area. A great experience. Devon was very knowledgeable regarding the area and animals. We enjoyed our tour immensely. As stated in the tour details, this is a open air truck, so expect to be dirty at the end of the night.

We lived the open air wildlife safari! Our guide, Neil, was amazing! He had a great sense of humor and spent a lot of time talking to us and sharing his experience. We appreciated the beverages (cold and hot!) and the snacks. Well worth the early morning, the time and the cost.

Our tour guide (I think it was Jaclyn) was awesome!! We went in the summer, so we were prepared for there to be less animal sightings. She still made it her number one priority and we saw a moose, antelope, bison and a den of fox of her kits! The safari does an excellent job of knowing where to go to see the wild life. Great time.

So both a bear and a moose on thee tour as well as a couple of mature elk. But seeing Wildlife is always hit and miss. Even if we hadn't seen anything,. We still would have enjoyed the tour because of guide Trevor and all his knowledge and experience of the area.

Not much to see, and the guide speaking non-stop, trying to build up everything. Could appropriate a little quietness in the middle of nature.

I would highly recommend the Grand Teton Wildlife Safari. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgable and extremely personable. The scenery was beautiful. Most importantly, we saw many types of animals including bears, elk, antelopes, deer, and moose. Overall, this wildlife safari was a wonderful and unforgettable outdoor experience.

Truly a safari experience! Hold on to your hat and anything lightweight.. feel the wind and swirling dust! Our guide Monica had the exhuberance of a true wildlife expert who has the educational background to correctly answer everyones questions and add to it. She navigates the narrow and at times unpaved rocky, wildly potholed roads with the sturdy axle of her safari truck! We saw pronghorn, bison from afar, moose and baby, elk. She knew where to look for wildlife based on her knowledge of their habits. This was our first time to visit the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park, and we were here for the total Solar Eclipse. BrushBuck Wildlife Tour was the first tour we had scheduled after the eclipse, so it was a good introduction to the park.

We did the Dusk Safari from Teton Village towards the end of our holiday and had already visited Wind Cave and Yellowstone NPs so had already seen quite a lot of wildlife on our own. We were hoping that the safari would take us off the beaten track a bit to see more. However we seemed to be doing an awful lot of driving around amongst other traffic and asking people what they were stopping to look at. We did get caught up in a 'bear jam' at one point, but the bear was difficult to view from the road and there wasn't an opportunity to get out of the minivan. There were very few photographic opportunities as it wasn't always possible to pull off the road when there were any animals to view. The vehicle we travelled in was very comfortable but I think Kevin was having a lot of problems with the gears and an alarm kept going off every now and again. Also some of the seat belts were not working. The windows were tinted so as it got darker it was really difficult to see out other than through the windscreen. Kevin, our Guide, was extremely knowledgable and interesting. He had a plentiful supply of snacks and drinks which were much appreciated. He also had a binoculars for everyone and a good scope.
We did manage to see a bear up a tree, a Bald Eagle, a couple of Elk in the distanceand hear them bugling and also a Magnificent Bull Elk toward the end of the tour.
Our overall impression of the tour was that it was expensive for what it was. We felt a tad disappointed.Perhaps,if we had done this before we had gone into the Parks on our own it may have seemed more worthwhile and exciting.

Our guide was Evan! He was fabulous. We saw a bear, elk, moose, prohorn antelope, bison and more. He reallly knew ,the area. He was a wealth of information. He was in no hurry in areas where we were watching for wildlife. Our tour was extended, because we kept seeing animals and would stop to watch. Highly recommend this tour.

Loved this tour! We booked the 4-hour sunset tour. Meeting place is at Teton Village. When we told Brushback that we didn't have access to a car, they said they could pick us up in Jackson Hole rather than meeting at Teton Village. Brushback picked us up at our hotel and brought us back to Jackson Hole. Our guide, Nick, went out of his way to find wildlife and was very informative. We did see a bear, a herd of elk, mule deer, beaver, and moose. Snacks, water and binoculars were available on safari. Would not hesitate to book with Brushback when again in Jackson Hole.
