What To Expect

This 4.5-hour Snake River adventure with riverside cookout sets off at 3:30p.m. from just two miles south of the Jackson Town Square on Broadway. If you’ve selected to have a hotel pickup, be ready to get picked up about a half hour to an hour before 3:30p.m.

Your guide helps you board your 8-person raft, and then you take off from the West Table Boat Ramp in Snake River Canyon. Your whole rafting trip is about eight miles (12.8 kilometers) long, and you’ll venture toward the city of Alpine. You will be provided with transportation back to the starting location of the activity.

While you float down the river, pass eight rapids, ranging from class I to class III. You should also keep an eye out for wildlife, such as river otters, black bears, and bald eagles. After about four miles (6.4 kilometers), your group takes a break at Blind Canyon to enjoy a riverside dinner cookout before continuing down Snake River.

Additional Info

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Please wear shoes that can get wet that will not fall off your feet. An old pair of running shoes or water shoes would be your best option.
  • Please wear synthetic clothing if possible and bring layers. Synthetics are best for the river because they dry faster than cotton. A bathing suit underneath shorts and a t-shirt is fine for a nice, warm, summer day.
  • Splash gear is complimentary. On a cold day, you’ll want a bathing suit to wear under the wet suit.
  • Bring a change of dry clothes, a towel, and a sweatshirt on the bus with you. It will be waiting for you at the end of your trip.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are highly recommended.
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
