We had a wonderful time with Janu Private Tours in Jaipur, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and Janu who was driving us himself made sure that we felt comfortable the whole time. The Royal Cemetery was a highlight of the tour, it is a very special and beautiful place, with very few tourists. Also, as we were working during the week and still a bit jet lagged, Janu recommended a great Ayurvedic massage place where we got the most relaxing massage ever. Hoping to come back soon for a longer tour! Definitely recommend.
It was a super Comprehensive and Warm touring with our guide, Eske. He was really knowledgeable, also he had a great impact about our way of thinking, was really good to chat with him.In addition to that, Janu himself really cared us directly and showed great hospitality. We hope that we will meet again someday :)
Couldn't be better! Our driver, Rakesh and tour guide, Rajesh met us at the Taj Jai Palace Hotel promptly at the scheduled time. It was clear within 5 minutes that Rajesh clearly had a grasp of the sites of Jaipur and that he was a professional. Rakesh was just as pleasant and the air-conditioned SUV a MUST during Jaipur in June! was clean and cold. Rajesh showed us the sites in Jaipur including the palace and fort. He asked if we had any particular requests and I mentioned that my wife and I wanted to ride an elephant if possible. Rajesh arranged for the elephant ride all the way to the top of the fort. Additionally, he helped ward off street hawkers and was always asking for our camera to take several photos along the way.
We have traveled all over Europe and had used Viator/Trip Advisor for many many tours. I can honestly say that with Rajesh, the all-important backstory for the sites was throughly provided and making the tour feel complete. Anyone can simply point out sites and obvious architecture. Knowing and understanding the backstory for each site requires thorough knowledge of the subject. With Rajesh and Rakesh, this tour was a joy! Well-recommended. A
We were extremely fortunate to be allocated Janu Tours in Jaipur. We had Raj as our guide and the celebrated Janu himself as our driver. We new this was special when Janu invited us to sample lassi at the best vendor in Jaipur as an introduction to our tour. We went on to the palace of the winds however, yet another unexpected gift of flower garlands for my wife and myself were given to us. Our tour hit all of the high spots in Jaipur. Raj is an extremely knowledgeable guide who also turned out to be a gifted photographer and he brought Mogul history to life. When we went to lunch there was a little confusion as to who should pay but the unflappable Janu stepped up and apologised for the confusion and settled the bill even paying for our drinks. When we told him that we did not need to visit the obligatory trade crafts and shops, as we had done that on earlier tours, it was again no problem. My wife asked if we could visit another location and he duly obliged. Janu Tours are extremely accomplished the small touches are magnificent we had an informative tour but mostly a great time and a lot of fun. Janu thanks for the snake charmers.
The tour guide and the driver show on time even I was leaving littel far from city , the guide have great knowledge and about the attraction ,I even ask him to see amer stepwell which was great and not in the list , the lunch was really tasty and clean. I even book for them for other as they are so great
Janu tours is the BEST! We were lucky enough to have Janu himself as our driver on our 2-day tour. I highly recommend that you ask him about his story. Such an interesting man, with so much ambition! He made sure that our tour was tailored specifically to our needs. He was very professional and kept things fun at all times. He adjusted the tour timeline to our specific request, drove us to and arranged our dinner reservations he knows everyone in Jaipur it seems!, had a cold beer waiting for us at the end of each day, and even took us to the airport the next day. Above and beyond to say the least. Our tour guide Jackie was wonderful as well. His English was very good, and he also made sure the tour was tailored to us. One thing we loved about Jackie was that he was always asking for our camera to take photos of us. This was great, however at times it felt like we were spending more time taking pictures and less time hearing content or exploring other places. In hindsight, if we had mentioned that we felt we had enough photos he probably would have carried on with the tour, so can't fault him for that! My best advice is to be up front with your driver and guide and they will be able to adjust your tour on the fly so that you get to see and learn exactly what you came there for!
Solo female traveller booked a flight to Jaipur on a whim and had done zero research except for a few artsy pins on pinterest. I work in Bangalore and just wanted to get away for a weekend and really did not plan anything out so well. I arrived at my hotel on Friday night, jumped online looked at a few tours and found this one and booked it immediately. I liked the reviews it had and was really concerned with my lack of planning that I wouldn't be able to do the city justice on such short amount of time and little amount of fore-thought. Well this was a great way to spend my day without having to do any planning on my own! Sanjay and his driver picked me up at my hotel at 9am on the dot and equipped with a cooler full of water and a fresh rose lai we went on our merry way. Sanjay was extremely knowledgable about everything Rajasthan - specifically Jaipur and brought me to and from every major monument in town in the air conditioned car of course it's hot here. He brought me inside the palaces and forts and taught me about everything from the tiles on the ceiling to the history of where each of the kings 12 wives lived and bathed. He was also a great photographer, knew exactly what the Instagram focused people of our time are looking for. The tour also takes you to a gem factory and handprint textile wholesaler as well - so just know that going into it that you will be arriving at those places and the idea is that you shop. I bought a ring, the gems were actually quite beautiful and honestly priced. We even had some time left over and Sanjay made some suggestions on things to take me to that were not on the itinerary. I genuinely enjoyed this tour - if you're scrapped for time and you really want to hear from a local what this town is all about, this is a great option. Plenty of cold water provided, lunch provided, and any time I gasped when I saw an elephant the driver stopped so I could take pictures without even asking. 5 stars.
