The good-humored driver picked me up and drove me to Samode Palace. Outside in the parking lot, I met a guide responsible for guiding me inside the Palace.
I did not think that we were on the same wave length but as soon as he took my photos with my iPad, I realized that we had something in common, we both appreciate art. Although, I was tired from lack of sleep for several days, I only slept a few hours each day, I made myself bend, twist and feel an emotion, hopefully happiness as he photographed me in the palace.
Samode Palace reminded me of an opulent doll house. I enjoyed myself feeling the luxury of the place, while the guide took photos of me.
Afterwards, the driver took me to Khandela for lunch and afterwards on a Jeep ride. The Maharaja introduced himself and welcomed me to the Hotel/ Restaurant. The tour included lunch, the meal was well prepared and satisfying. After the lunch, I could visit the rooftop of the building to see the locals celebrate Kite Day. I attached a go pro video camera to my wrist to capture the leaping monkeys. Black face monkeys holding their infant with one arm leaped down from the top of the Palace to the rooftop of the Hotel. Mesmerized by their agility and strength, I held my arm out so that the camera attached to my wrist captured the exotic scene.
The safari Jeep tour driver took my driver and myself to see the local sights.
Khandela has ruin like buildings that take you to another period of time, lots of temples and monkeys bringing life and movement to the area.
Before leaving, I requested to see the owner of the Hotel to thank him for his hospitality. Although, I did not stay at his hotel, I realized that he had made my tour more special.
My driver took me back to a restaurant in Jaipur, included in the tour, the Indian dinner was well prepared and I drank whiskey included in the tour.
Driving back to the Hilton, I noticed activity inside a temple and I encouraged the driver to find a parking space for the vehicle and to walk with me to the temple. I purchased yellow roses to offer the deities. Entering the temple, I quietly watched the holy man interact with people. I realized that he was doing a cleansing ritual. I welcomed the water that he threw at all of us with verbal prayers and strong thoughts. I handed the roses and rupees to his assistant. The assistant placed a garland of red flowers around my neck to thank me.
I inform the driver to speak to the holy man for me, I needed his cleansing and blessing. We sat on a mat, while he waved a peacock fan as I heard him pray and I focused on what I wanted. Feeling that my request was answered, I placed several rupee bills on the floor. Stood up, removed my fresh flower garland and I placed at the feet of the Ganish deity.
The driver returned me to the Hilton, happy with his personality, I requested his driving service to the airport in two days.
