Leave Jerusalem on a full-day private trip to Masada and the Dead Sea, and discover Israel’s remarkable history and landscapes. Drive deep into the Judean Desert, explore Masada’s fortifications and palaces alongside your personal guide, and learn about a dramatic, 1st-century battle between Roman troops and Jewish Sicarii rebels. Descend to the shores of the Dead Sea to walk along salt-encrusted beaches, bathe in mineral-rich mud and float in one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water.
This was a great tour. If you have 5 people, the cost of a private tour is virtually the same as a group tour. Our guide was Moshe and I cannot say enough good things about my new friend. Not only is he fully versed in the history of the land, sites and people but he can also bring in the relevance and context of the different religious beliefs for any site. Moshe brought the site and struggle into focus and taught us about how the site of Masada survived in such a remote and harsh region. The other advantage to a private tour is flexibility and we were able to view Qasr el Yahud which was important to us because this was the site of the Baptism of Jesus as well as the site where the people entered the promised land. Because we have a small child that could not go into the Dead Sea, there was a different site that offers a fresh water pool to relax in so again, it's great to have the flexibility of a private tour.
We will visit again, and we'll only do tours with Moshe in the future!
Tour guide was excellent! Masada and the Dead Sea were great and very hot. We had a great time.

This tour is long but is so rich in sights and history, our guide made it better. he was very knowledgeable and worked with us in our schedule. very very pleased.
Great experience travelling with a guide that has a thorough knowledge of the country.
The day we went to Masada it started to rain and so I decided to leave early. Our guide was so nice, he substituted several basilicas that turned out to be as exciting as Masada. One was carved into the side of a mountain. It was breathtaking. The day was very full and exciting despite the dizzle.
