    • We require a minimum of 4 passengers to confirm a flight on-board one of our larger passenger balloons. There are two alternatives available, we can provisionally book you onto the date then try to confirm another 2 passengers to fly with you or we can move your flight to the next suitable date.

    • Guests with any medical conditions, that they feel AirVentures should be made aware of, accept the responsibility to advise us accordingly.
    • All passengers must be able to stand for the duration of the flight, and must be able to enter and exit the basket.
    • To conform with the industry accepted practice, we consider it unsafe to fly when pregnant.
    • The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
    • Children must be accompanied by an adult
    • Children under the age of 7 years are not permitted to fly.
    • Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
    • Operates all year round, please dress appropriately. Flat shoes are recommended
    • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
    • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

    Cancellation Policy

    Must-Do Activity!

    Absolutely amazing experience! One of the first activities I booked for our SA trip (hi from SA by the way as we are still here) and an absolutely must do activity even if you’re afraid of heights like me. The staff and pilot were super reassuring, the sights were incredible and the breakfast afterward was absolutely scrumptious and plentiful (major kudos for the omelette guy!). Such great hospitality overall- totally worth the cost and they do offer a group flight for a little less. But if you’re coming to the Johannesburg area, by all means give this one a shot - you will not regret it. Wish I could post pics!

    This was absolutely amazing... I have no words to describe what an incredible experience this was! The crew was friendly and very professional. Great knowledge shared over a bottle of Champagne afterwards at 08h00. I was amazed to hear that ballooning had been done for three centuries, more so discovering that the maiden flight was done by a 'sheep'... thank you Harry and Mark...

    This was such an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything about this tour was incredible. We arrived to a beautiful lodge and were treated to coffee and tea - we even got to see the beginnings of a beautiful sunset. We were transported to the balloon launch sight where we got to see the balloons being inflated, and started our flight shortly after. During the flight, our pilot Harold pointed out several areas of the Cradle of Humankind, and we got to see rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, impala, and even an emu! The views were breathtaking. Following the flight, we toasted with champagne and orange juice and headed back to the lodge for quite the breakfast buffet! It was a delicious spread. From start to finish, the experience felt like a dream and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
