Despite the fact that it was a cold rainy day, this tour is highly recommended.
I was able to see an Eagle Salmon, and a porkspine.
The waterfall is worth seeing and the ride and food to Mt.Roberts excellent.
The overall tour was very well organised, we had plenty of time at each location to explore and enjoy each stop. We found the tour guides to be very well informed and was able to help us with all our questions. The lunch on Mt Roberts was outstanding the food was well presented and delicious, a great day excursion and would highly recommend this to any traveler as it was suitable for all ages and access for able and disabled persons was guaranteed.
i little bit of confusion on the restaurant .but other than that such an excellent excursion Highly recommended!!!!
Mendenhall Glacier was amazing, also included a city tour and then rode the Mt Roberts Tramway to the top and had a lovely Salmon lunch at the restaurant. Really enjoyed visiting Juneau.
This was a very good shore excursion, Mendenhall was awesome, the tram ride was a kick and the salmon dinner was excellent.
Great tour. Driver, Jay, was so funny - he gave a brilliant commentary about Juneau plus lots of humour - it made the tour even better!!! We toured the town, then were dropped out at the glacier to browse through the visitor centre or do a hike, with the opportunity to return via regular shuttles back to town - so you could stay for the hour, or longer if you wished. It included the tickets up the gondola, which was amazing - the views were spectacular. The included lunch was delicious and they catered brilliantly for my gluten allergy. A great value tour that provided all we were expecting and more.
This shore excursion is ideal for those wanting a trip that is not too strenuous but informative at the same time and was quite a bit cheaper thanthe shore excursions offered by the ship. The tour reps were at the pickup place as indicated and our driver Jai was friendly, funny and gave us a great informative tour around the town and then out to the Glacier where we had plenty of time to walk up to the visitor Centre, see the short movie and would have had time to do one of the walks if we wished . Our. trip on the way back was also very informative and after being dropped off in town we rode the Gondola up to the restaurant. We took the opportunity to see the short movie on the local Indian Tribe from the area and then enjoyed the meal. The choice was 2 course with a choice of Reindeer Stew or Salmon and both were very nice. We could have stayed up at the restaurant, visited the gift shop and seen the resident Raptor and we also had plenty of time to shop in the town of Juneau itself. The view from the restaurant is great and we were lucky enough to have a lovely clear view right up the canal.
I'd highly recommend this tour, it suited us perfectly and we were more than happy with our day ashore.

Great tour, worth the money. The tram was great and the food up at Mt Roberts was great.
Wonderful, well informed tour guide, Lynda Sanders! Great overview of Juneau, Douglas island and the Mendenhall glacier! Also included tram ride up the side of the mountain and a hot salmon lunch in the restaurant at the top. Great views of Juneauand our ship!
The city was enjoyable and our guide was so informative on the history. He pointed out dozens of bald eagles for us, saw about ten at one time sitting on sand bars and on the light poles on bridge crossing to Douglas Island and back. The glacier was great, we didn't walk to the water fall but the view from the visitor center is awesome. So much info there. We were entertained by the gondola operator with a native song on the trip up Mt. Roberts and the salmon lunch was delicious. Views from the top are wonderful and we saw eagles sitting in the trees on the way down. Great tour choice.
The driver was excellent and although suffering from a very sore throat, he managed to give us an excellent over view of Juneau and the local district. The drive through this very attractive city was informative and interesting as was the trip out to the Mendenhall Glacier, through some very picturesque countryside. Our driver had a great sense of humour and we loved his quirky asides to the local polictics.
The Glacier was awesome and I managed a very quick run out to the Nugget Point Falls at the base of the Glacier, while hubby took in the movie about the glacier.
Later, the gondola ride up to Mt Roberts gave us very good views over the city and the narrow gorge our ship followed to bring us here.
However, the seafood lunch was disappointing to say the least. We had an option of salmon with Chef's choice of veges, or a chicken dish. Of course we chose the salmon for our seafood lunch. The waitress recommended a local strawberry beer, saying it was only brewed occasionally sold out very quickly, and no, it didn't taste like strawberries. Well it did and it was almost undrinkable for our palates anyway! The meal, when it came was also unappetizing, to say the least. The salmon, which was very dry and tasteless, sat on a bed of Brussel sprouts which are my husband's most hated vegetable, a few strips of red pepper and a couple of small tomatoes. Very disappointing.
However, the outing to Mt Roberts was saved by meeting the bald eagle was had been found injured and eventually lost an eye and part of her beak so was unable to be released back into the wild. She was magnificent and we really applaud the people in the Raptor Centre for the wonderful rescue work they do.
Our advice, definitely do the Glacier, but go independently up to Mt Roberts as it is well worth a visit.
The glacier was an amazing sight the view from Mt. Roberts was impressive
Very good service. Although Carnival delay for 2 hours, their people still waiting and complete the tour.
We very much enjoyed this combination and the quality of this excursion. The bus to Mendenhall Glacier was comfortable and the driver Fred shared enjoyable narrations and stories. Once at the Glacier, we could stay as long as desired and take one of the regularly scheduled buses back. The trolley tour was very informative and well done. The Tram ride and views from the visitor center at top of Mt. Roberts were great. At the restaurant, it was barely busy we visited in mid-May, our waitress was awesome and the salmon lunch was absolutely perfect. Tip: Order the hot chocolate!
This was a great tour! Caught city tour bus in plaza right off cruise ship, then switch buses and go to glacier. Could spend as much time as we wanted there with return shuttles every 30 minutes. Then ride the cool Mt. Roberts tram and lunch at ?Timberline restaurant. It was the best meal we had off the ship. Salmon was delicious! Tour was worth the money.
The tour was great!! The Mendenhall Glacier was amazing. While we were there we saw a black bear. It was amazing!! The beauty of the area is amazing. The tram ride was great as well!!
It was a rainy, but well worth the trip. Ben the driver was very informative about the history and culture of the Native people there. The glacier was beautiful, the visitor's center was informative and the dinner on Mt.Roberts was great.
Well organized. Wish we had another half hour at the glacier. We did not have time to hike to the waterfall. Mt Roberts was beautiful and the food was delicious at the Timberline. Our ship was leaving at 4:00 so we did not have time for the film and to explore the trails. Lots to do, not enough time. The tour driver was great and informative.
It was an absolutely beautiful excursion. The food was perfect on Mt. Roberts. We are so glad we went.
