Very nice tour. Amazing views and wildlife.
The cruise is nice, with multiple platforms to permit you see everything.
This was a good tour...both staff on board we great...got to see a few whales which was good, There was only 5 of us on the tour which was great..I would have hate to have the boat full as it wouldn't have been much fun as I think it holds only 16 people but not really much room to walk around. But we had a good trip.
We realized booking this that the tour guide only has so much power over the experience because of nature, so I kept the bar low going in. However, we were blessed with the weather clearing just in time for our trip out to see the whales. While passing one whale, they told us we were heading toward radio chatter about more whales. We lucked out again with a bubble feeding AND a sighting of a pod of orca whales...including a baby! We were told this was rare, so we couldn't have been anymore happy with the day. The cruise was wonderful and the bar went back up! They also provided food and drink...the salmon spread on the bagels was heavenly! Would recommend this experience....even if you don't get to see what we did.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and we DID see whales! Many times!! The crew, Mickey, Mike and Capt Larry, were wonderful and the Captain was highly experienced and made sure that we saw whales, as promised. Also, the bus driver, John, was entertaining and informative although being a Native Juneau-ite, I noticed there was a bit of fudging on some of the historical facts. It was a wonderful half day, even on a cloudy day, which didn't dampen the excitement or enthusiasm of the tourists!
Capt Kale Gary and Sarah were awesome. We saw Humpback Whales and Orcas. Thx for a great trip Ginger and Susan
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw plenty of whales and had a great time!
We had really good guides. We saw a number of humpback whales and then was able to go see some orcas.
Saw about a dozen humpback whales, as well as sea lions and porpoises. Great trip!
This tour was smooth and professional from pick-up to drop-off. I highly recommend this company for anyone visiting Juneau, especially those on cruise ships.
The naturalist and boat driver were very well informed and gave you quite a bit of information about the whales. We were fortunate to see a couple females with their young, a bald eagle and seals, and a whale breach! The guides did their best to find you wildlife to view. It was an exciting and fun trip!
The company, boat captains, and experience was wonderful. Have recommended to other persons who are headed up there now.
fun on a fast boat.too bad the captain could not find more whales. service good. guide very informative
My wife and I booked this cruise having never experienced whale watching before. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and did see quite a few whales. However, it was a bit disappointing since we never got closer than a few hundred yards from a whale and were not able to get any good pictures. The naturalist on board explained that the whales were feeding and they didn't want to disturb or alarm them. While this is understandable, it was also not possible to see the whales close up like shown on many of the brochures and advertisements.
The staff were very friendly and taught us a lot about how the whales live and migrate to Alaska to feed. The van driver was also very helpful when I accidentally left my camera on the van. When I called them to check, he immediately returned to the cruise ship dock to drop it off to me. That was very much appreciated.
Enjoyed this trip even though we only saw a few whales, mostly from a distance. Others on our cruise saw a lot more whales. This boat took us to a place where there were a lot of other boats, so I suspect at other times, there were more whales. The boat was adequate, but not very comfortable, Rather crowded.
A glimpse of a whale ,but nice to sail around and take in the views
We were lucky enough to see a few whales but you gave to be quick with the camera, the boat was fast and comfortable, not the tours fault we did not se more marine life but it was a bit disappointing that we saw only a few whales.
It was okay. We only saw 3 whales in 2 hours. They don't jump out of the water like you would think unless it is mating season. It was funny to watch how we all became satisfied when we would just see a tail flip before it would dive.
It was a nice tour.. But a little disappointed in the quality of the whale watching.. I spoke to and saw pics from individuals who had taken the cruise ship tour and they actually saw groups of whales .. We were unable to get any good pics
