Capt. Charles made it a very smooth ride. Russell was very informative about whales and what was going on during the tour. Nate and Rich were newbies, however, very talkative, and if they didn’t know the answer they found the answer from Capt. Charles or Russel. We were able to see a breaching whale and eating which is not usually typical but a great experience. I would do this Juneau whale and glacier tour again.

Outstanding experience. From start to finish. Mr. Bill our Bus Guide was amazing and courteous. Our ship crew was great. Shout out to Kailhia (sorry if mispelled) who provided great info. The captain was great on getting us close to the wildlife. Loved the fact that the glacier part was on our own pace with shuttle service back to the port. Trip Well worth it.

Good crew and saw several whales. They seemed to have a lot of experience and tried hard to get us close to the whales.

Close to cruise pier to meet tour, right under the tram. The boat had bathrooms and inside and outside areas to be. Marina was our captain and so cheery and fun. We saw whales and some seals. They gave us a granola bar during the whale watch portion. My favorite part was the flexible option to stay longer at Mendenhall Glacier. The bus dropped us off and we could ride any shuttle back to the pier, when we were ready. Perfect for the older parents to get back to rest on the ship and the rest of us hiked out to Nugget falls - which was incredible and absolutely worth the 2 mile roundtrip hike! Flat and easy to hike. You can stand right next to the falls and feel the cold glacier spray. Beautiful scenery. Our second time using this company and worth every penny. The bus drivers narrated the drive and pointed out things to look for and learn about. If you didn't see a whale breach (we didn't) you can take a photo of the bus and do some creative editing - we saw a guy doing that!

The tour was great. The whale portion was fabulous. We saw multiple whales and had ample time for pictures. The crew was friendly and the boat wasn’t crowded. Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful. We had an hour and a half to explore on our own and we hiked to a waterfall.

Left on time. Very knowledge & fun crew. Definitely recommend having whale watching first then going to glacier because then you can explore the glacier area. Also highly recommend hike to Nugget Falls. Easy, mostly flat trail. One mile each way. Many viewpoints including large area in front of falls.

We were dissatisfied with...

We were dissatisfied with our trip due the fact we didn’t feel our captain and crew were doing enough to get us closer to the 3 whales we saw. Actually it felt they were moving away from the whites when we reached the spots. Other boats from the same company moved closer to a whale that was swimming away from us. There was no effort to keep following the whale. I don’t know the rules and the agreements in place amongst the tours but I have done these before and the captains we never satisfied until the guest got the best possible experience.

Superb tour! Lots of time spent whale watching, including lots of whale sightings, which were very impressive. Glacier tour was good as ticket was flexible, meaning we could return from the Glacier on any shuttle bus. This gave us the time to walk to Nugget Falls (well worth it) which was a bonus!

The Captain and Naturalist were knowledgeable and fun. The trip was too short for the price paid. We saw 3 or 4 whales. Something is wrong Any time they have to ask for a tip.

5 Stars to Juneau Tours!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our whale watching tour. Tad, Russell, and Captain Michelle were very knowledgeable, kind, and entertaining. We appreciated the safety measures they employed and the care they took to ensure guests’ satisfaction. Additionally, drivers Randy, Jim, and Wayne were friendly and their discourse made for enjoyable bus rides. My family and I highly recommend that prospective visitors book through Juneau tours.

Our ship was late to Juneau and we’re not going to make our whale watching time and the glacier tour. Juneau Tours rearranged the time for the watch and refunded the glacier part . Good people.

All Around Excellent Tour.

From start to finish, this was an excellent tour! The bus drivers, who moved us to and between the whale watching and glacier, were informative. The boat we rode on, whilst watching whales, was a top tier tour boat that had room inside for keeping warm and dry, and open decks in the front, rear and on top for outside viewing. Our boat captain expertly spotted and maneuvered us into position to get great views of over a dozen whales. The Mendenhall Glacier was just sad, and that is not the fault of the tour company. It has receded so much, that the best views of the glacier are from the parking lot and first photo viewpoint. After an easy one mike hike, we snapped some great photos with Nugget Falls,

Disappointed With You Guys!!
John_N
, May 2022
We got picked up at the pier on time. However, we waited an hour before we boarded the boat to go out. Then Captain Marina decides we are going to stay out for extra time. We were only at the glaciers for about 10 minutes. We had reservations for dinner, which was paid for, so we were only able to stay for about 15 minutes at the glaciers. Yes they provided another bus but not until 7:15. We were at the bus stop at 6:40 as we were told to. However, we didn’t leave until 6:52. Your motto should be if you are late we will leave you. Of course we were about 15-20 minutes late for dinner. Pretty bad you guys can’t keep a simple schedule. We waited on 4 people who were late for the 6:40 pick up got there at 6:52. Ik is hard to recommend a company when you can’t keep a schedule when you have to if you are on a cruise. I really wish I would have booked thru the cruise instead of doing independently. LESSON LEARNED!!
