We had a great guide, whose English was excellent Krishna, as well as a very good driver. As a woman in my 60's, I have some knee issues, and both were very considerate, helping me in and out of the car, and up and down steps. The temple itself was glorious, and the views from the veranda were beautiful, even though it was a rainy day. On a clear day, it must be inspiring. While there, we observed the student monks chanting, and later saw them playing football. Some came up to us, and asked us questions where are you from?
After the tour, we had a traditional Nepalese meal if that's not for you, the guide will find something to your liking.
Krishna not only answered our questions about Namo Budda and Dhulikhel, but also questions about Nepalese culture and about himself. The trip was highly informative, and we felt that we gained some insights into Nepalese culture.
Terrible. We passed through Dhuilikhel without stopping, so much for that part of the tour! The guide did not speak English very well and gave little information as we travelled and little information , that I could understand, about Namo Buddha. No offering to stop and let me take pictures. The guide just wanted to get the day over and back to Kathmandu.
