Upon entering the Lihue Airport stay to the left towards the HELIPORT. Take a left at the second stop sign and head north on Ahukini Road. Take the first right after the UPS Customer Center Drive and look for the Air Kauai sign. Park on the grass area and check-in in the black office.

Captain Adam was amazing. Made everyone feel very safe and had great narrative. The office staff was so good. Daughter is pregnant and we were concerned about it. They were outstanding addressing our concerns. And the bathroom smelled great!

My husband and I have THE most amazing time on this tour. Our pilot Kelby was fantastic. He had great music playing the whole time and was super knowledgeable about the whole island and seemed to really enjoy what he does. We cannot wait for our next tour. 1000/10 recommend. Do not miss this!

This heli ride sits 6 ppl, if you happen to be 2/4 sitting on the back, you will get middle seat which is painfully uncomfortable and you will not get to see the view that isn't blocked by other riders. My recommendation will be sit only 3ppl on the back so there is room to breathe, those seats are small (and I consider my self average size) and I was cramped for 45mins ride, very unpleasant. Those sit on the back is clearly not for 4 adults.

Friendly and professional staff. Very detailed and well managed, with safety as a priority. Our pilot, Adam, made us feel safe on our doorless adventure and his narration was both historical and specific to Kauai. Only suggestion I have is to limit the number of passengers to five from six for comfort and ease of those photographing.

"Doors-off" is the way to go

This was our most anticipated activity for the vacation and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend taking the "doors-off" ride for the best views and feel. It almost felt like I can reach out and touch those majestic mountains and waterfalls. I went with my partner and his mother who needed assistance as she has a disability. The team there was very supportive and although they didn't directly help her onboard, they were there guiding us on how to help her get onto the helicopter. About our pilot, Kelby, he was AMAZING! He had curated the best music list for the ride (that was in sync with the location we were flying over. E.g. imagine listening to the Jurrassic park theme music while flying over the Manawaiopuna Falls.. :D mind-blowing) and the best narration throughout. The helicopters are fitted with multiple cameras that constantly records the entire ride and view along with the narration/music and you can buy the entire video at the end of the ride. Be mindful that not everyone in your party may get a window seat. They prepare the seating arrangement based on individual weight, but regardless of that you get amazing views from pretty much anywhere in the Helicopter. Also, it's not scary, the ride was pretty comfortable and you feel pretty snug in your seat the whole time. If you are sitting in one of the window seats in the back theres no handle to hold onto, so they recommend grabbing the roof edge, so if you fly through rain, you may feel the rain prickling your hands, but thats about it. Really worth-it

Our tour was cancelled 2 hours before we were supposed to fly due to “radio issues”. While I completely understand that anything can happen and safety is a priority, this company did nothing to try to accommodate a different flight on another day or offer anything for our trouble. We planned our entire trip around this activity and because it was cancelled so late, we were unable to reschedule. This was the biggest disappointment of our trip.

It may seem expensive, but, this really is a must do. I loved the fly overs of the NaPali Coast. Absolutely beautiful. The open door was really cool - you didn’t have to peer through a rain spattered or dirty window to see the sights. I wish I could have brought my gopro which was on a gimbal, but, understand that the wind really whips through the cabin so you could lose handle of it. They do give you a necklace to put your phone in so you can shoot - its hard to keep the camera steady though with the wind in the cabin. I think the best seats are the outside seat behind the pilot, and the front seat next to the pilot. They number your positions so you may want to ask which seat #s those are so you can get them. The only improvement I would suggest is to fly up and down the NaPali coast so the people on the outside seats have the experience of going along the cliffs.

Fantastic Experience

The scenery was absolutely amazing. The pilot Kelby was Great and his music selection was awesome. Perfect way to see Waimea Canyon and Na Pali Coast. Having 4 adults in back seat was definitely uncomfortable. The two people in the front should be instructed to stay in their area when taking pictures instead of being allowed to lean behind the pilot. From the back seat she blocked a lot of photo ops.

Unparalleled birds-eye views make this experience a must! Took my wife and two adult daughters in the doors off helicopter and felt completely safe while taking in unobstructed views of the spectacular scenes. Pilot Adam was fantastic and very helpful with information about everything we saw.
