IMPORTANT: Ticket office doors open at 4:45 PM. If you opted for round-trip hotel transportation, please call Luau Kalamaku to schedule your pickup at least 24 hours prior to your luau. Hotel pick ups begin at 3:30 PM. The approximate time of arrival at the luau is between 5:00-6:00 PM, depending on traffic and other unforeseen delays. When you call in, we'll schedule your pickup and provide you the exact pickup location to wait and time. We operate a consolidated pickup schedule which may necessitate that we pick you up at the location nearest to where you are staying. We do not pick-up at private properties such as AirBnB's and in residential areas. Your booking may be canceled without a refund if you don’t contact the tour operator to reconfirm.
What To Expect
Treat yourself and your special someone to a memorable night of gourmet island cuisine and a luau extravaganza. Depending on the transport option selected, you’ll either be picked up at your hotel or make your own way to the historic Kilohana Plantation, where you’ll be greeted with a flower lei and glass of sparkling wine. Settle in among the elegant surroundings at Gaylord’s Restaurant and enjoy a four-course meal of fresh Hawaiian fare. (See Itinerary below for a sample menu.)
After dinner, you’ll have time to wander the historic plantation home, which has been lovingly repurposed as a boutique shopping and dining destination. Browse unique galleries and shops, visit the Koloa Rum Company, or stop in at the atmospheric Mango Bar for a tropical cocktail if you like (own expense).
Follow torch-lit paths to the state-of-the-art Luau Pavilion and take your premier seat for some of the best views in the house. Sit back and relax as the talented performers of Luau Kalamaku interpret the history of the first Tahitian voyage to the Hawaiian Islands. Flame twirlers, knife dancers and traditional Polynesian hula dancers bring this epic tale to life with a mesmerizing production, accompanied by traditional drummers and other musicians.

Great Show - Recommend for Large Luau

We did the Plantation owner’s Dinner and had a great time. There were some hiccups (we did not choose the pickup from hotel option but they showed up anyway, had to ask for the leis when we didn’t get them at dinner - twice - and manager wasn’t especially friendly about it) but we had an overall good experience otherwise. Dinner was fine but being able to sit in front for the show was fantastic, especially for our young daughter. Loved the dancers/performers (great show production) and enjoyed the story of the history of the journey to Hawaii. The performers definitely gave it their all!

The show was great. That, sadly, was the only good redeeming thing. Plated dinner was awful despite good waitstaff/service and they cancelled transportation providing minimal partial refund that didn’t even cover Uber one way let alone round trip.

Let me just say the show was amazing. but the dinner at Gaylords was disappointing. The perks of receiving a lei, walking to the luau with fire dancers and having front row seats was what memories are made of. The show was fantastic and very entertaining but the food at Gaylords was I'm sorry to say, lackluster. The staff was wonderful but I was looking for some more authentic Kauai food. Every course was either or choices. Very limited selection.

I opted for the dinner in the Plantation House and it was worth the expense. The dinner was superb and the front row reserved table seat was also superb. The show emphasized Tahitian history in a musical fashion, the dancing was very energetic and well done, and the fire dancing was terrific.
