What You Can Expect

Na Pali Coast Snorkel and Rafting Adventure

Get up close to Na Pali's caves and caverns with your expert guide

Kauai’s Na Pali Coast is a dramatic, 16-mile (26-km) stretch of jagged cliffs and emerald valleys along the island’s northwestern shore. The best way to view the spectacular scenery is from the water. Begin your adventure at Port Allen Marina Center, where you’ll meet your friendly captain and crew. After a safety briefing and storage of your personal items in a dry bag, hop aboard a 14-person inflatable, motorized raft.

Your nimble vessel will allow the group to get close to the shore and dart in and out of sea caves and under waterfalls (weather permitting). As you cruise along the coast, your crew will share information and legends about the landscape and help you spot passing marine life such as dolphins, whales and sea turtles. Don a provided snorkeling mask and fins, then splash into the clear waters at Nu‘alolo Kai to explore one of the best coral reefs in Kauai.

Take a break partway through the tour for an onboard picnic of a gourmet sandwich, fresh tropical fruit, chips and cookies. Beverages are provided throughout the journey so you stay hydrated.

After approximately 5 hours, your coastal adventure concludes back at Port Allen.

This was an amazing addition to our honeymoon and a must do!! We were a little nervous at first because they made it sound risky and super freaky / exciting but the ocean was super nice and our captain was honestly so amazing and knowledgeable. This is the best way to see the coast! You will get wet

The raft to snorkeling is not for cowards. It is ROUGH. Either shorten the trip or plan to take it easier coming back.. It was a great experience to see all the coves and caves and hear the history but for 45 minutes of snorkeling the 3 hours and 15 minutes of pounding on the pontoons was really tough. Our group of 12 ranged in age from 8 to 71..It was hard on everyone.. We were told before we started that if we had medical issues this was not our trip but no expalnation of WHY and once you are on board--it's too late..You have already paid in advance too..

Way too choppy to go out. Held on for dear life. Couldn't do the caves due to the currents
We were both very sore. The snorkel didn't meet our expectations but that's no ones fault

Tour guides were the highlight of the trip! Super fun people with alot of island knowledge. Dont take this tour if your focus is on snorkling. You dont snorkle very long on this tour and the ride along the coast makes up the bulk of the tour. When the waves are up the ride is fun and exciting. Took us into a couple of neat caves and also saw some gorgeous sights in areas you can only view by boat.

The Na’pali Coast is gorgeous! I was hoping for some more rough adventure, as was advertised. A child was sleeping on the pontoon.
We were unable to go into the cave for safety reasons, but I feel like a more experienced captain would have done it. The snorkeling was too short and not great.

Our crew was great thank you Phil and Jamie we did not get to snorkel due to the murky water but they told us stories of the island including movie scenes as well as cultural. We went into a few sea caves including one that had a floating rock in the middle that we went around! The food was great and we felt safe all the time. It does say if you have a bad back don't go and that is true so if you have any doubts at all about your back don't go cause in the raft when you hit a wave it can come down hard. We definitely will be back :
