What You Can Expect

Discover the mysteries of the jungle on this 4-hour Kauai ATV tour! Your adventure begins at Old Koloa Town, where you’ll meet your friendly guide and receive a safety briefing. Choose from two different off-road vehicle models — the Mud Bug and the Ohana Bug. (See details below. Please make your selection at the time of booking). If you’re planning to drive, you’ll get instructions on how to operate your vehicle.
Climb aboard your sturdy ATV and set out through the rugged terrain. The Mud Bug or Ohana Bug will allow you to cross through thick vegetation and rough trails that are inaccessible to other vehicles. After riding for about 2 hours, stop at beautiful Kahili Falls to explore the area by foot. Rejuvrnate with a dip in the waterfall and re-fuel with Anahola Granola bars, Anahola granola trail mix, chips, Koloa Cookies, juice and water provided.  Take a refreshing dip in the emerald pool at the base of the cascade, or hike around the jungle to look for wildlife.
Continue on through a bamboo forest to another waterfall tucked away in a tropical clearing.
Enjoy the return drive to Old Koloa Town as you splash through mud puddles and rumble through the jungle.
Mud Bug: This fully automatic off-road vehicle features a three-point harness system, roll bars and a Baja-tested suspension system. With room for two, it’s a popular choice for couples.

Ohana Bug: A bigger version of the Mud Bug, this ATV seats up to four people and is ideal for families or small groups of friends.

This excursion was perfect for two parents and two young adult children. Rented two mudbugs and had a blast. Guides very informative of the history and very entertaining. Stopped at a waterfall area to swim, had a snack and toured an WWII Bunker. Anyone who rates this trip poorly wasn't meant for mud!!!

Absolutely amazing! the tour takes you through many historical areas throughout Kauai, even showing you where they filmed multiple movies such as Jurassic Park! The tour guides were very fun and knowledgeable about the island and they clearly enjoyed their jobs. You get very dirty on the trip which is a lot of fun and you get to wash it all off in a beautiful natural waterfall and also visit one of the first WWII bunkers built on the island. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to going back for the zip line adventure as well.

The guide was GREAT! It was so much from driving around the the dirt roads. The waterfall we stopped at was small, but so much fun to swim in! Highly recommend doing this if in the area!!!!

My husband and I had a blast. Our ATV broke down at the waterfall, but the staff let us drive one of theirs, so we didn and #39;t miss any of the experience. And if it has rained recently, prepare to get covered in mud. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

What a trip!! Never been that muddy ever! What fun it was. Glad I took a plastic trash bag to put my stuff in. Had a great time. My daughter drove the bug and she delighted in trying to find places to get me more muddy! Just know it is VERY bumpy and you get extremely dirty.....that's all part of the fun! Go for it!
