My niece and I took this tour a couple of weeks ago. Tim was our guide and he was fabulous! He was very knowledgeable and laid back. It was our first time kayaking and it was great! I have a new sport!! We saw sea lions, eagles, harbor seals, lots of intertidal critters. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had a beautiful day in Ketchikan - sunny skies and a bit cool but we dressed for it. The kayak tour was enjoyable and Devon was very accomodating to our group of 6 women. We held starfish in our hands and saw bald eagles along the way. I would recommend this excursion!
very relaxing and with a small group. Ryan is an excellent guide. Saw lots of wildlife including eagles, sea lions, harbor seals and a number of other sea creatures. Highly recommend.
My family thoroughly enjoyed this trip! We were picked up right on time and had a very nice drive up to the kayaking site. Once at the shore it was an easy transition out on to the water. Our guides were friendly and informative. We had kids in our group and the guides were fantastic for all of us.
I was looking for a more private excursion from the cruise crowds when I came across this little gem. My friend and I were thrilled there was only 1 other couple joining us on the trip. Devon, Ryan and Tim were awesome!!! Devon picked us up at the cruise port and Tim drove us back. All the guys were fun, friendly and personable. Ryan was our kayak guide for trip. He told us a few stories as well as highlighted several areas we came to. Saw a couple of seals put their heads up out of the water as well as several American bald eagles. The Alaskan topography is so beautiful to see. We even got to handle a sea star as well as a couple of other rock critters during the kayak tour. If you are wanting to experience a pristine and beautiful Alaskan coastline and little islands, this is definitely the tour for you!!
So happy we booked this tour. Our guides, Ryan and Devon were very knowledgeable and truly appeared to enjoy and love being guides. We saw a ton of wildlife
We had a great experience - even despite the fact that the weather was not that great. Our guides were cheerful, knowledgeable and really fun. They happily obliged my mother by taking lots of pictures of our group with her camera, showed us the local wildlife up close - and made sure we all stayed as comfortable as possible by providing the appropriate weather gear with no extra charge. Book this trip! You won't be sorry!!
We were met at the Knudsen Cove Marina in the morning of one of the lowest tides of the month and what a great surprise to was!
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a double kayak, comfortably floating along the steep cliffs plunging into the waters of Clover Pass. Devon showed us chitens, star fish, urchins and the many edible varieties of kelp found in the waters around Ketchikan. We encountered bald eagles up close as well as Stellar sea lions and off in the distance I spotted a whales spout.
We paddled around Pub Island and Clover Island before heading back to Knudsen Cove and one of the best hamburgers I've ever had at the Dock Side Galley!
The small group allowed us to keep the pace of our trip to our liking. We never felt rushed, rather we talked about the flora and fauna, touching and exploring the local sea life.
We plan on bringing our three young children along next time we take the adventure. We know they will have an amazing time!
