What an amazing adventure!! Ryan and Simon were wonderful tour guides and so knowledgeable. We actually encountered 5 hump back whales that were bubble feeding while we were kayaking. Got to follow them around a bit! Weather was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Highly recommend this group to anyone. Very personable and wonderful group of guys. Also offered the bike tours, but we opted for the kayaking!

This was the best kayak tour I have been on. Amanda was a great paddling partner and I really feel awful but I can't remember our other guides name......but he was just as wonderful as Amanda!!!! both were very informative with some great stories. would definitely do this again should I ever get back to Ketchikan!!!!

None of our party had our own kayak gear/clothing, but they outfitted us completely for safety and comfort. Among the six of us, all middle aged women, we had different levels of experience and skill, and they treated everyone with respect. The guides were knowledgeable, , skilled, funny, and well-informed about local eco-issues. Great trip!

What an amazing tour...Ryan, our lead tour guide, was passionate, knowledgeable, and very easy-going. He and Derrick, our other guide also passionate, knowledgeable and easy-going taught us how to maneuver the kayaks and we took off in the ocean for our tour. Our first stop was at the tidal wall where we learned about starfish, chilton and limpets. We then paddled over to a bald eagle's nest and saw mom flying around the nest while the fledgings were deciding whether or not if they should take their first flight...unfortunately, they weren't quite ready to venture out of their huge home! Just past the nest, a massive sea lion and his ladies came by to check us out. They didn't get too close - except for the one that swam directly under Ryan's kayak! It was a blast paddling around the ocean...I think I want Ryan's job! We ended up back at the tour site for smoked salmon, dip and hot drinks...the tour was a highlight of our entire cruise!

My family and I had a great time on this tour. It was just our group of four and we were led by Ryan who was knowledgeable about the wildlife and sealife in the area. We had clear skies but they outfitted us with rain gear just in case. The kayaks we used could be steered
with foot pedals so it was very easy to navigate. Very friendly guides and great salmon dip at the end!

Don't miss booking this Tandem Kayaking Tour . We booked this tour from home, before getting on Cruise ship to Alaska in Vancouver. On June 15th 2017 we were met by Devon as we came off Cruise. He shared some interesting facts about area as we headed to base and Marina to start Tour.Weather was raining ,cold and 40-45 degrees. Don't let the weather deter you from experiencing this Tour. Ketchikan is the rain capital of Alaska, rainfall avg,200 a year.We were provided with Amazing rain gear. Coats and pants designed to keep you warm even with getting wet.I managed to get arm soaked up to my armpit with waves and was not cold during this whole tour. Gloves, boots for those that had on sandals !! and of course ,adjustable life jackets. Our guides Ryan and Derek helped each of us in getting dressed and ready for out in the elements. My husband and I are experienced paddlers and there were first time kayakers as well. Lots of facts and laughs shared with us by both Ryan and Derek. We learned about Sea Stars, Sea Cucumbers ,other marine life. It was surreal floating in quiet cove sitting under an 8 foot Eagles nest with chicks 10 days old chirping away and a lone inquisitive Harbour Seal popping up investigating our Kayak group. So much wonderful information shared with us. We returned to base hut for warm drinks and small salmon appetizer snack.
Ryan and Derek made this a unique and wonderful excursion for my husband and I can't say enough about our guides.

This kayak tour was fantastic! There were only three in our group, plus the guide. We spent several hours on the water at low tide, and our guide showed us all kinds of creatures on the rocks and in the water. We saw dozens of eagles. At one point our guide took a long piece of bull kelp and made a long trumpet out of it, so we were out on the sea in kayaks blowing on our kelp trumpet. It was just a wonderful morning exploring nature and looking at stunning scenery.
