Our guide,Becca, did an amazing job on this tour. She was zealous about her love of Alaska, and it showed. She gave us a lot of information and was very accommodating
Breathtakingly beautiful! Very knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommended!
Our experience was wonderful the bears, the guide Rachel and the experience was all we could ask.
This was the best tour! Surpassed my expectations. Tour guides, the best I have ever had. They captain would go out of his way to find us Orcas, he actually found 2 pods, the most wonderful expereince.
Our tour guides were highly qualified and the captain, give him 5 starts all the way!

This is a relatively short tour to do, so leaves time to do other things in Ketchikan. I really liked Ketchikan so this worked out great for us. You meet up as a very small group with a ranger with this trip. There were a couple of really big groups there so we were lucky with the size of our tour. It gives you more opportunity to ask questions and hear everything being said. The rangers are very enthusiastic and it rubs off. It's surprising the little facts you find yourself reciting over meals for the next few days after this trip.
During June/July you should be able to see bears too. The salmon swim through the river which goes through this forest. We arrived in May just as they were coming out of hibernation. A group behind us did see a bear, but we were unlucky. We saw plenty of Bald Eagles though.
At the end of the tour we got to meet the Totem pole Craftsman, Wayne. He was so patient, both him and his wife, as we all had so many questions. He was showing us some of the tools he uses and explains how he gets his ideas and makes his totem poles.
Ketchikan has quite a lot in it we wanted to see and do, so this tour worked out perfectly for us and the rainforest walk was on paths/boadwalks, so would suit most people.
Great rainforest tour, informative,
Nature, bears, dead salmon and Eagles.
Loved getting to hear the natives speak about totem they were carving.
The guide is very informative, we've know a lot about the forest.
Guide was excellent- had a great fund of knowledge. Great way to view the rain forest. Saw black bears catching salmon, a highlight of our cruise. I wholeheartedly recommend this excursion.
I enjoyed it very much! The bulk of the tour was about the trees and plants of the rainforest. We did see a black bear on the tour and several juvenile eagles. At the end, there are 4 injured birds of pray in a cage. For such a short port of call, this was wonderful.
So much fun! Our guide Becca was the best. So excited and enthusiastic about the park and the animals there. Even took my husband and I over to pet the reindeer all the Princess cruise folks had to get back on the bus.
We had a great tour guide! Learned a lot about the vegetation and wildlife of this area. Saw several bald eagles, 2 bear cubs and a harbor seal. This was our first port so it was nice to get an overview of the Alaska Rainforest before we visited further ports in Alaska.
Do not worry about the walk. It was an easy pace with manageable slopes. It was shorter than I expected. Although we did not see any bears the salmon were not running and all the people may have scared them away we did see a large number of Bald Eagles. The guide was very informative.
It was ok. 3 very talkative women joined our group, that pretty much ruled out seeing any wildlife.
Guide was very informative, seeing the rescued birds were great.
False advertising: There is nowhere explained that animals are presented in captivity eagle, bear, caribou .... the guide did have turn without allowing time to take pictures and the end of the turn we had to wait more than thirty minutes to catch the minibus to return to port.
Not what i expected. No bears. Only prints on the soil. Many eagles, yes, but we expected at least a bear in the woods. Banana slugs aplenty, but that was it. Me thinks it was a bit over priced.
