Our guide was so knowledgeable and loved the city, which imparted excitement and love for the city for both my husband and myself. We did the tour shortly after the New Year, and our guide brought us a present for Christmas - how kind!!!! The tour, personality of our guide, and flexibility to deep dive into what we were interested in made this tour truly once in a lifetime opportunity!

My guide was very interesting and engaged. We drove around Kiev and I got an overview of the city highlights. We walked into some sites, others we just viewed from outside or from afar. Later I went back to visit specific sites like the Lavro caves and the Patriotic War Museum. To some extent this is an overview tour and you don't necessarily get to go into all the places you see. Some you do, some you don't. That was no problem for me because as much as seeing sites, I wanted to connect with some Ukrainian people for a conversation on what's happening in this area of the world. Ukraine is in the news and it's interesting to hear local perspectives. On the whole I enjoyed the tour very much and especially enjoyed the conversation I had with my guide. For me the conversations I had was as important as seeing tourist site after tourist site. I took 2 individual tours in Kiev so I got 2 perspectives, plus access to some interesting sites.
