It was an absolutely amazing trip and very thorough. I speak a little Ukrainian but prefer English. The tour guide was very attentive and explained all my questions even though I had many. Highly recommended. I wouldn't go without a guide here because there's so much more you can learn if you do have a guide.

An excellent tour of the Monastery. The guide did a great job explaining the history and the architecture and conveyed a sense of the importance of the site to Ukrainian people. She mixed in some great stories, which made the tour all the more interesting. Within the grounds there is a museum of microminiatures with superb sculptures and paintings visible only under microscopes, made by Mykola Syadristy.

The tour was okay. Our driver Sasha was excellent but he left us with another guide to tour the monastery and I cam away confused about what we had seen. It would have helped if at the beginning we had been shown a map of the area and had been told what buildings were inside and what they were for. I think we should also have been told at the beginning what the cost to enter various buildings were and what our options were going to be. I felt as if he guide was just trying to fill up an allotted amount of time,

It was a good tour but I did find it a little rushed. The guide was very informative but maybe lacked a little bit of spiritual connection with this truly amazing place. He was very factual and realistic.
The mummified Saints are quite an experience to behold.
