My friends and I had a truly excellent day. Denis was very helpful and informative. Would highly recommend to anybody interested in visiting the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
Dennis was a great tour guide who knew a lot about Chernobyl. He definitely had a great passion and his English was excellent! We saw conflicting information about meals. We had lunch provided and we brought snacks which I highly recommend. It’s a long day and you will get hungry.
Great tour. Great guide. Highly recommended. Just try to book in warmer, drier seasons, because you will be outdoors all the time.
Best daily tour I ever did. Just amazing! You see abandoned villages, a huge radar system, the town Chernobyl with memorials of the liquidators which were called bio-robots what an expression, the Red Forest, the NPP, and the abandoned town of Prypiat. The guide tells everything you want to know. We were in a small group of about ten members in a minibus. On that day 300 tourists visited the exclusion zone, many of them with coaches, but in the zone itself you do not see many tourist groups. Our lunch in Chernobyl hotel-restaurant yes, there is a hotel was in the late afternoon with Ukrainian dishes. I enjoyed that day very much.
You have to take your passport with you, which will be controlled at the zone entrance and also in the zone. Do not wear short-sleeved clothes, only eat and drink in the car, and do not put your belongings or even sit on the ground. Wear good and comfortable shoes, no sandals. You walk through nature, sometimes there is no path. In Prypiat there are many broken glasses on the way.
The trip was great, we had a lot of fun.
Our Guide Elena was very helpful, friendly and informative.
We did the 1 day tour and were not disappointed.
The food from the cantine was good and we even had a vegetarian option as requested and there were ample stops for the toilet and on the way we could stop at a petrol station to buy some food/drinks.
Thanks to Elena and our driver for the nice experience, we would definitely recommend this trip.
Fascinating tour. Say many interesting sites. Starts out with small abandoned village. Then moves on to a monument to first responders near the fire station. Then a drive-by of the power plant on the way to lunch at the Chernobyl canteen. Then going very close to the plant for up-close pictures. Then on to the abandoned city of Prypiat for more interesting sites. The tour guide Elana was very knowledgeable about the sites. Also did a great job at getting me back on time for my train in the evening.
An excellent experience, by far one of the best highlights of my Eastern European trip! Our guide Andreyi was very informative and took us to loads of fascinating places throughout the exclusion zone, and all the places left a significant impression on me. I will say that it was a very tiring trip, and there was a lot to take in, so I fell asleep very quickly on the coach back, so I recommend resting well beforehand.
Whenever I show people photos of my trip through Europe, this is the place that impresses everyone the most.
Very Interesting tour! The guide is very knowledgeable of the area and gives good descriptions. Very good value for money.
I cannot recommend this tour enough!! We spent the entire day at Chernobyl and I wanted to stay there longer!! Pick-up was easy and on time. Guide was GREAT, lunch was very good too. Chernobyl is not to be missed!! Book early - all of the tours sell out!
Kate was an absolutely fantastic guide for this wonderful trip. She is very well informed and passionate to share her knowledge. Gained a ton of information and understanding from this tour. Definitely recommend!
This trip was amazing.
First of all pick up. Come out of the station walk past KFC on your left McDonalds on your right, walk just past McDonalds.
Our tour guide Natalia spoke perfect engish. Everything was explained to us, the itinerary and what to expect. There are frequent comfort breaks, take wet wipes and tissue with you. Also the day is very long and after the first comfort break at a service station you cannot purchase food or drink so take plenty of snacks and drinks with you. Wear sensible shoes, we wore walking boots which we we pleased about as there is a lot of walking over rough ground and vegation. You don't have to walk here but miss seeing some interesting things if you don't.
Security check was quite fast considering there was a lot of people, from here you start to see the sights and the effect the disaster had. Constant information given about the area and what happened. Lunch was edible but don't expect 5 cuisine as it is at the canteen for the workers in the area. Before going for lunch you have a radiation check and when leaving the 10k and 30k zones further radiation checks are carried out.
I would fully recommend this tour and this company for anyone who doesn't have mobility issues.
Excellent tour. Igor was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Kyiv.
Great tour. Both guides spoke good English and had lots of interesting things to say about the area. The group size was a bit larger than I expected...about 15 people if memory serves. But still highly recommended. Must do if you are in Kiev.
Tour was excellent, and very educational. Guide Andriy was great. Highli recommended tour.
Superb fascinating long exhausting day! Really really interesting. Couldn't believe it was a 13 hour trip in total as the day flew by and every moment was superb. Really........ you must do this
Our guide Kate was fantastic. Superb English, very knowledgable and friendly. She performed brilliantly for us
The only thing that wasn't suggested to me and wish it had been......Take insect repellant and spray your legs before walking through Prypiat. Two weeks later, I still have itchy bites!
This will be a day that will stay with you forever. Honestly. It's that good!!
Really good tour, seeing lots of sights of Chernobyl/Prypiat. Tour guide was fantastic Kate and gave lots of great insight and was quite funny.
The lunch is interesting, traditional food cafeteria style - no choices/set food. I would take some snacks/drinks with you as they were not easily available and if you don't like the food you might be stuck. Half our group liked the food, half didn't - but this didn't tarnish the trip at all.
Amazing and informative! Guide was truly entertaining and knew her stuff. Highlight of my visit to the area.
One day was enough, though. Not sure what else there would be to do on multi-day tours.
I cannot even explain how amazing Natalia was! After a really rubbish first few days in the Ukraine and almost writing off the full trip as a failure we come across this wonderful lady that showed us the good side of the country! Cannot commend her enough! Easily the best experience of our lives!
This educational tour provides insights into the magnitude of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster. Walking around the various sites was nothing short of amazing and seeing the newly constructed dome sarcophagus in close range is something I never imagined possible for a non-scientist. I think winter is the best season to do this tour.
Very good tour, fitted a lot in for a day. Started as soon as we got on the bus with our guide giving us background of the events and the area. Letting us know how the day would be formatted.
On the way we saw a documentary, which helped set the tone for the day.
She was very knowledgeable, not too pushy and answered any questions we had.
I am so glad I went. The guide Andrii was such a informative guide. He was happy to answer all of my questions. We were able to see so many interesting things throughout the area of where the explosion occurred. I would def recommend this trip to everyone. From the minute we met with the guide until the end of the trip he was helpful, full of energy, and did his best to make our experience great!
