The Gap of Dunloe Experience
Veronica_W, Oct 2022
Enjoyed the majestic scenery at the Gap of Dunloe. Our kart driver was very kind and knowledgeable. Did a little hiking up the hills and took in the scenery all around us.
The view of gap of Dunloe...
Radhika_T, Sep 2022
The view of gap of Dunloe was marvelous and the boat ride covering lower middle and upper looks so pleasing and splendid
Wonderful day!
Kathy_O, Sep 2022
Wonderful day! We took a jaunting car up to the cottage then a boat down to Ross castle and rather than take the bus back to Killarney we walked through the park. The whole day was well organised, with plenty of time between stages. We were blessed with good weather and the scenary was just lovely. Our guides ( jaunting car and boat) were excellent - telling us stories and were very good at what they do. Highly recommend
Stunning scenery & a hike...
Grace_K, Aug 2022
Stunning scenery & a hike that was well worth the effort :) The boat guide was exceptional - his lovely Kerryman character regaled us with tales of golden eagles and Americans who chose to keep the lakes & island as they were
A must
Declan_B, Aug 2022
The hike was steeper than we were led to believe but overall worth it The boat journey was just wonderful

Beautiful tour with three unique experiencesar
Sheila_N, Aug 2022
Would definitely recommend this tour but I would warn folks that some parts of the tour were a bit unclear. Be patient but speak up and be assertive. Specifically, waiting for the jaunt/to catch a ride through the gap was a bit disorganized but eventually we got there. We did rely a bit on the couple we rode with who snagged a driver quickly. Also, check in with your driver about where to meet up at Ross castle. Our bus driver Dennis was friendly and helpful. He caught us as we got off the boat and took us to the boat. I worry we might not have found him ourselves

Just walking up the gap was breath taking. Beautiful scenery! I loved the goats and horses too. Love to return and hike more.

Beautiful
Kat_M, Jul 2022
Great tour. Highly recommend getting a jaunting cart. Walk is uphill halfway, plus the cart drivers are actual farmers on the land in the gap so very knowledgeable.
Stunning experience
Filippo_R, Jun 2022
One of the best park ever seen, very nice and helpful staff also. The park is marvelous and the boat trip is really interesting. Only problem the bus driver at the start was almost half an our late, once in the park I was the only one choosing to walk instead of taking the carts and I had to rush at the end in order to catch the last boat at 2pm, but they were kind enough to call and warn them to wait for me 5 minutes.
Fun day
Cathy_C, May 2022
Great scenery and weather . Horse carriage ride is quite bumpy fun. !ND dress warm for the boat ride.
Great day out
Kevin_M, May 2022
No refreshments available at Kate Kearney’s Cottage which was disappointing. The weather was very wet and windy but this was ok as we had suitable clothing. No map was given just a brief verbal explanation of the route on the bus - a simple map would have been useful or alternatively if we had been invited to take a photo of the route this would have been helpful.

A must do tour!!
G_N, Apr 2022
Challenging myself on a timed 7 mile hike, and I haven't done anything that intense in over 4yrs. I had from 11a-2p and I was done at 12:50p. What a blast and with the rain made it even better. And the boat ride our guide was the best, had us all laughing for days!!!

Killarney Must See!
Dan_I, Apr 2022
We had the Luck of the Irish the day of our tour…it was simply gorgeous out!! We had an amazing time traveling by boat across Loch Lein. Our captain Donell and his golden retrievers were excellent guides! He shared much info and folklore along the way! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful day!
Mayra_K, Apr 2022
Such a beautiful hike! I loved it. I did it with my 9 year old son. We went in the first week of April and got wind, a little hail and rain, and a little sun burn. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to do. We were glad to have our ponchos and water resistant shoes. Gloves, a neck covering and some layers kept us comfortable. The boat ride back was super easy going the first 2/3 of it, but then we hit wind and then for about 15-20 minutes we were drenched as the boat hit waves. It was so cold! Our guide had us put a tarp over our laps but like I said, we were drenched. Our guide was very fun and it was a great adventure, but if the guide says to pull out the tarp, I recommend pulling out your ponchos too.

Exceedingly knowledgeable & engaging guide. He made the experience what it was. Also kept our kids attention which made it more fun for mom & dad!
Overall we had a fine...
Timothy_D, Mar 2022
Overall we had a fine time. The walk through the gap took two and a half hours but we weren't expecting the walk from the end of the gap to the boat to take over another half hour more. We thought for sure we had missed the only boat back to the pickup point but the luckily the captain was half an hour late himself. He wouldn't let us board just by showing him the e-ticket, we had to present the physical copy, which luckily I was able to find at the last minute. The boat ride back was intense at times (it was a cold, windy day) but enjoyable overall and unforgettable, even if in a "what have we gotten ourselves into" way.

Beautiful Lakes and Gap of Dunloe
Valerie, Jul 2021
Ben our Jarvey was brilliant as was our boat tour guide. Lots of fun facts and local legends and expert knowledge of the terrain. Hottest day of the year too, only downside was bus was incredibly hot, we asked for Aircon but the driver didn't seem to know how to operate it for the passengers. Beautiful, would recommend this trip to friends and family.

Amazing trip
Gerard_M, Jul 2021
We had a great day out, the scenery was amazing and staff very helpful and friendly. Would have liked more information on the menu selection at the cafe near the boats as my wife is gluten intolerant however we always bring food with us. The boat trip was brilliant and very enjoyable especially after a 7 mile walk. The price was very reasonable for the trip.
