Hotel pickup and drop-off included from Krabi
After hotel pickup in Krabi, you’re transferred to the coastal village of Bor Thor by minivan. Admire the stunning natural landscape of southern Thailand, strewn with limestone cliffs, along the way.
On arrival, receive a safety briefing and paddling tips before heading out with your guide on a kayaking tour. Paddle across the Marui River and follow a series of inlets to some extraordinary caves, many of them only accessible by kayak. You’ll find stalactites and stalagmites inside Tham Lod cave before continuing through a tunnel to Tham Khao Wong lagoon, located in the middle of a mountain. Inside Pee Hua your guide points out ancient cave paintings and pictographs.
Make your way through the cave's numerous grottos until you arrive at a viewpoint overlooking the mangrove forest and sprawling ocean. After a look at these natural treasures, it's time to return to the Bor Thor pier and transfer to your hotel.
Upgrade: Full-Day Tour
If you opt to extend your tour, break for a seafood lunch at a traditional Thai restaurant by the river. Afterward, you’ll continue to Tha Pom, aka Khlong Song Nam, translated as ‘canal of two waters.’ Named for the mix of seawater and freshwater at high tide, the canal beckons for a swim in its crystal-clear waters. Finish with the return to Bor Thor and onward to your hotel in Krabi.
Excellent tour guide Kip. Good length of trip--I did the half day and wouldn't have wanted more than that. The sea caves weren't quite as magical as I had hoped for, but I probably had unrealistic expectations. I'd recommend this for a fun activity in Krabi.
