An emotionally draining experience - the subject matter is something you need to be prepared for. The trip itself was excellent the pickup and drop off were spot on, very well organized and executed. Our tour guide in Auschwitz was incredibly knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job of bringing the experience to life and making it real.
This was an excellent trip. Value for money. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions the group had. Part of history that should never be forgotten.
Would highly recommend.
We were picked up from our hotel on time, where we walked to the main office a couple of streets away to get the mini bus. The mini bus was really comfy and spacious. The video about Auschwitz was informative and helped you understand more about the location. We were given regular breaks throughout the tour and the tour guide and bus drivers were really helpful and friendly. Would really recommend, good value for money.
Another tick off my bucket list!
The tour was very informative, sad place, the tour guide was not biased!
Please wear comfortable shoes, the terrain is uneven, lots of loose stones leave the high heels for another day
Wheelchair accessibility limited. Lot of walking, climbing steps up and down, resting time limited as for sitting down facilities.
The whole experience make a lasting impression on me. Be grateful in what I have in live
Go out and try to make the world around me a better place for all.
We had a better understanding of how the final solution was carried out. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and she was able to connect events, people, and the two camps.
Bitterly cold when we visited but the tour and tour guide were brilliant. Pickup from the hotel was good and well organised. Could not fault this tour. Would recommend to everyone.
Although this was a very emotional experience we felt that we would recommend that everyone visits. We had a guide that was very informative and we very much appreciated this.
Unforgettable experience. Highly suggest the morning tour as the line was HUGE as we were leaving.
Enjoyable tour and very knowledgeable guide to the museum and history!
We had an expert guide...way above average. My reservation and all coordination was handled very professionally. I highly recommend using this company as they are responsive and attentive to ensuring a very good experience.
This is a trip you will not forget, and you should not. My family made the decision to visit Auschwitz-Birkenau to pay our respects to the 1.1 million people who died there because of the monstrous plans made by evil people. You can read a ton of books and articles about it, but until you walk on those grounds and view what is left behind, it will not affect you in the same way. Our visit took place on a rainy, damp day, which only added to the feeling of foreboding.
I would highly recommend this tour to everyone as its a great way to learn about the history of Auschwitz from guides who are well informed. The guide was able to answer all our questions while on the tour and it was easy to follow along and understand her explanations. It is a difficult trip, however both the movie and the visit help to try to picture what it was like and make sure that it is never forgotten. The only thing I would suggest is to give an hour or two at the end for people to wander around on their own as the tour goes very fast due to the many visitors during a day. Thank you for the information and great tour!
An excellent trip. Very well organised. The guide at the museum was superb - great knowledge and explained with such emotion.
Amazing tour. Need to update the phone number for the company you need too ring to confirm pick up time. Will definitely book with Viator again
I'd seen documentaries on Auschwitz but somehow I never realized there was not one camp but three. Auschwitz 1 is the work camp, its gate reads work sets you free and 2 in Birkenau the largest death camp. This is not a happy holiday destination nor one for a selfie. The guide was excellent and how she delivered the information on what went on without going into horrific detail. I would recommend this tour but you must do some research before you go
Pick us up from hotel to coming back from the tour , we give them Big 10 on the scale 1 to 10.
I regret very badly not expressing our gratitude.
Very humbling experience. Definitely recommend goin. Tour was organised well. Transportation was excellent and the tour guide was very knowledgable.
This was a profoundly heart-wrenching experience. A very knowledgeable tour guide. Would recommend this tour to anyone. For whoever doesn't believe the Holocaust occurred, you will never deny it again after going on this tour.
Weather was awful, and lots of the tour is outside. The documentary they play on the minibus didn't work either. However, this didn't really matter as the tour itself is powerful and interesting. Transport and staff were great.
Very well organised - picked up from the hotel and transported in comfortable minibus. On route a harrowing video giving background to the history of Auschwitz. The tour around the two camps was very well organised and in Auschwitz 1 we were provided with headphones and our guide, Suzanna, provide a detailed explanation of the sights and the events. Suzanna, a local young woman was exceptional, she was informative yet compassionate. Suzanna grandfather was born in the local town and lived through the occupation and Suzanna felt the need to tell the story less it be forgotten. Would recommend the visit but be prepared to be shocked and saddened.
excellent trip and a excellent tour guide i would recommend this to others
