A visit to Auschwitz
Rahul_G, May 2023
Absolutely mind numbing experience. But an important visit. Well organized tour. Be prepared for a long walk.
Response from Host, May 2023

Truely chilling

A true insight of man’s inhumanity towards his fellow man. Everyone should come here and experience it so that it is never repeated again in the future.
Response from Host, May 2023
Dear Daniel, Thank you for your heartfelt review. We wholeheartedly agree that visiting this place offers a profound insight into the depths of human cruelty. Kind regards, Kinga AT Cracow

Incredible way to see Auschwitz
James_W, May 2023
The feeling of being here can’t be put into words. I always knew what this place was, but being on these grounds makes it real. Almost too real. Incredible experience.

A insightful and moving tour, but medicre organisation.
Brenan_D, May 2023
The actual tour was really insightful and interesting. You learn a lot and you do feel the magnitude of the horrific events that took place. Organising the tour was difficult though. The Tour gives you a window between 7am-1pm and you are at the mercy of the tour operator/museum of when you will go, which you only find out at 5 pm the day before your tour. Viator was pretty hopeless at letting you know this as they said I would get to go at 7 am. It wasn't till 5 pm the day before my tour that I got told by the operator I will be going at 1 pm. So just a warning to not have other concrete plans on the day of your tour!
Excellent guides and a well facilitated experience

A lot to absorb
Kerry_M, May 2023
Nothing prepares you for this tour. Was a lot to absorb. The guide was very good. She explained the sensitive nature of the tour well. We do not seem to learn from the past.

Adam_F, Apr 2023
Tour was a sobering experience and highly educational. Guide was fine but became a bit fast paced towards the end. Other members of the group disgraced themselves moaning at the guide in a memorial, serious lack of any manners and self awareness considering one member of the group was disrespectful taking constant pictures rather than listening. Guide done his best given the situation.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thank you very much for your review. A visit to the Museum is indeed a difficult experience. We are sorry that among the participants there were people who could not behave adequately. A visit to Auschwitz requires respect and appropriate behavior. It is worth remembering and it is right to pay attention to it. Kind regards, Kinga AT Cracow

Day Trip to Auschwitz
Natalie_R, Apr 2023
This was a very humbling experience. Auschwitz 1 was amazing, although there was a lot of bits closed and it only took around 1 hour to go around it. Auschwitz 2 was a lot bigger. Very humbling experience.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Dear Natalie, Thank you very much for your opinion and your time. We believe the visit to Auschwitz is a form of paying tribute to the victims. Kind Regards, Kinga AT Cracow

Ticket Mess Up
Ben_H, Feb 2023
The tour was great. However, I bought my ticket through Viatour with AC Tours. This allows you to be picked up and present your purchased Viatour ticket in exchange for a ticket for the museum. I was the only one to not have the same ticket as the rest of the group I travelled with. The tour leader, Andrea then got me a ticket, although this was an individual ticket. The tour guide leading our group did not want me joining the group, she said it was not allowed. I then got added to another group who had left before us and therefore missed the beginning of the tour. For someone who was travelling alone this was embarrassing and also concerning, I was worried the rest of my group would leave without me. It then didn’t enable me to fully engage with the tour and my anxiety was heightened throughout the tour. However, when you compare this to what was experienced by the many victims it is of course so minor.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Dear Ben, I have carefully analyzed your case. We are working that the quality of our services continues to grow and we make every effort to provide services at an ever-higher level. However, sometimes we also make mistakes and I admit that after investigating the case, we noted the situation you write about on that day. I am very sorry for the problem. I hope that, despite everything, you have fond memories of your stay in Krakow. Kind regards, Kinga

Asgeir_P, Feb 2023
Bad english speaking guide. Good transfer. The pickup was unstruchtured. Basic information from the guide.
Response from Host, Feb 2023
We are sorry to hear that your experience with the guide did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that as tour operators, we do not have any control over the assignment of guides at the Auschwitz Museum. The museum is responsible for assigning guides based on their decision. None of the tour operators has control over it. Regarding the pickup, we apologize for any confusion or disorganization that you may have experienced. We are always striving to communicate all details clearly, including exact descriptions of the pickup with google Maps links if needed for easy directions. We appreciate your kind words about our transfer service and hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your visit despite the issues with the guide. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Visit to Auschwitz
Traicha_J, Jan 2023
Fantastic guide at Auschwitz, so knowledgeable and thoughtful provoking. Well organised tour managed by a great guide.
Unprofessional and unorganized
yael_h, Dec 2022
This tour was completely disorganized and unprofessional. From the minute we got got dropped off in Auschwitz they told us to get in line to go through the metal detectors in order to pass through. We were standing in the line for thirty minutes and once we were at the front, they told us that it was not our tour’s turn and that our guide should of told us. The guide then proceeds to tell our group to step to the side since we were the last group to register with our tickets out of all the one’s that were going in front of us. The fact that we were the last group to register is fine and is out of their control, however, they should of told us from the beginning rather than have us stand in the line 30 minutes and then telling us to get out of the line. Once it was our group’s turn again, we went back in line and when we gave in our tickets, they turned red (due to the fact that it was 40 minutes past the time that we were supposed to into the tour), after some calls, they eventually find our ticket. When the tour to Auschwitz was over, me and my friend were told that there was a smaller bus taking us from there to Birkenau, since they separated us from the big group due to a time schedule issue on our part. However, when we were waiting for our small bus to take us to Birkenau, the guide texted me saying how he already left to Birkenau with the 3 other people on the small bus and that me and my friend should take the public transportation bus to Birkenau that is a small walk from the Auschwitz tour. Infuriated, I demanded that he come pick up up as we payed for a guided tour WHICH INCLUDES transportation and that it is offensive to be told to take public transportation in a foreign country, where I do not know where I am going, and do not speak the native language. His tone of voice was rude and although he refused to pick us up, eventually he came to our senses and agreed to do the FIVE MINUTE drive from Birkenau to pick us up at Auschwitz. Ten minutes later he picked us up and by the time we met with the rest of the tour…. We had already missed some of it because of their negligence. The Birkenau tour is supposed to be 1 hour, and because of how unorganized they were at Auschwitz, our group only had the time of 10 minutes in Birkenau. Overall, the tour was unorganized, rude, and unprofessional. It ruined the experience for me.

Our guide was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and one of the best guides I’ve experienced. Very organised and helpful. Although it was a sombre day, it was an important experience for myself and my son.
Austwitchz and Birkenau
PETE_J, Nov 2022
When I booked this the trip was available uka me from my apartment. Received a message to meet at raddison blu area. The meeting time was 1040. The area was chaos with many companies and people. The bus turned up At 1100.. There was no opportunity for lunch and it should be made clear for everyone to take some food and drink on such a long day. O. Returning the bus dropped people off miles from the pick up point. It was unclear as to where the best place was nearest to peoples hotel and apartment. The tour girl was very nice but she needed a microphone as not everyone could here the information.

A day at Auschwitz
Victoria_E, Oct 2022
The guide around both Auschwitz camps was very knowledgeable and ensured that everyone was always with her before she started on the next part
Good visit, great tour guide
Ruth_M, Oct 2022
Good trip, Andrea is nice, provides info on the route.” About Poland as well and arranged everything with the tickets. The guide we had (Mathew) was very knowledgeable and provided very interesting information that you can’t find in normal books or somewhere else. Can you organise it by yourself? Most likely, but it’s worth not to think about anything and letting the tour company deal with everything. Ps: when you reach to the meeting point, ask for the company, all your companies meet there and you might miss your bus for not asking!
Beyond words
Andrew_P, Oct 2022
Pick up was as arranged but an hour after we departed we were back at the same location having evidently forgotten to pick someone up which was somewhat annoying and frustrating. Journey to the site was fine after the initial blip and the tour of both sites informative and moving even if the guide was rather difficult to understand. Bear in mind that there is only a 10 minute toilet stop. Journey back to Krakow was fine although the bus didn't drop off at the advertised place, possibly because of heavy traffic. Overall an essential experience if you are in the area
Auschwitz 1 is incredible
Richard_H, Oct 2022
Auschwitz 1 is incredible, period true and gives a feeling of the control the nazis had over people. I do wish their exhibits included lifelike figures in some of them, like the kapo''s toom and prisoner bunks. That would bring the experience more intensely to the viewer. Looking at empty bunks is sobering but doesn't present the reality of their experience.

The hair, the shoes, the luggage, the historical photos all have a huge impact. The place is very crowded and you walk at a constant pace-with a group ahead of you and a group behind you - no straying!
