The experience we very somber and the most memorable of our trip.
Our driver was great. Very courteous, kind, and efficient.
This was a truly moving and emotional experience. Our driver Michael, while not the tour guide, was very informative. A very smart guy who share his experiences, videos and asked us questions too. We chatted with him both ways from Krakow and back. We thank Michael for his insights and conversation and his love for Poland and teaching us about Poland. Thanks, Michael.
The tour is quite shattering, so be emotionally and physically prepared. Don't plan much that night and don't go alone. The tour guide was just fantastic. Deeply knowledgeable and you could tell that what she was telling us just scratched the surface of the story. Because of the tour, I bought several books at the bookstore and, less than 24-hours later, I have already finished one. Reading these histories is completely different when the narrator refers to a place or a building, and you have been there. There is a lot of walking, so wear good shoes. It was probably the most meaningful tour I have ever been on. We used the private transport, and our driver was also just excellent. He provided history as we drove, and yet also knew exactly when we needed to contemplate in quiet. He also suggested other tours which we booked immediately based on this experience.
Wasn't looking forward to this trip, but so glad I went. Its important that we see and hear what happened, so it doesn't happen again. We were meet on time from out hotel in a comfortable minivan. On route he showed us a film which set the mood of the visit and prepared us emotionally as to what to expect. This trip has lots of walking especially when you visit Birkenau, so be warned. Little time between Auschwitz and Birkenau visits so maybe bring food and drink with you. There are cafes in Auschwitz but depending on when you go could have queues.
I had hired a private driver to take a friend and myself on this tour. Dominic was professional, helpful and considerate. During our 90 minute drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau, we were shown a video in the car. It was extremely helpful in giving me more information about what I was to see upon arrival. Upon the end of the tour at Birkenau, Dominic was waiting for us.This is a tour everyone should take. The nations of the world need to work together so the horrors that happened at these camps never, never, happens again. There are no words to express the complete devastation, inhumanity that I witnessed while touring the remains of these sites. Photos will never do it justice.
I chose this tour as it was a Christmas present for my 86 yr old mum. There were just the two of us and I can highly recommend it. The driver was informative and helpful and the whole thing was thoroughly well organised. It was definitely worth the extra as just the walking around Auschwitz 1 and then later Auschwitz 2 was quite a jaunt, without having to walk between the two camps. I would also say that apparently visitor numbers to the camps are treble in the summer months and wow, that would be heaving, it seemed fairly busy to us even in January.
Excellent tour the private transfer is extra luxury but well worth it the driver was brilliant The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was a very emotional and humbling experience a must visit really
Excellent tour leader, personable driver, beautifil brand new mini-van, great service
Michael, our driver for the private round trip transfer, was excellent. He was very interesting to talk to and the journey passed rapidly! He gave us some fascinating insights on Poland and increased greatly our knowledge and understanding of the country. He was also an excellent driver.
Our guide for the tour of Auschwitz- Birkenau was also excellent. This is not an experience about which one uses the word enjoyable! However, the quality of the tour was of a very high standard and we gained an in-depth understanding of the background to this site, how it was built, how it operated and, insofar as is possible, some idea of just how horrific it must have been to be there. But it is impossible to imagine the reality for those who suffered there.
This is a tour that should not be missed but it will leave very deep impressions that will be difficult, maybe impossible, to ever fully forget.
Exceptionally well organised. Our driver Pieter picked us up directly outside our accomodation and ensured that we were checked into the tour. Booking this tour gave us the flexability to spend as much time as we wanted to.
This was an excellent trip. The private driver was prompt and informative. The tour guide was excellent. Brings home the horror of the Holocaust.
Our driver was superb: courteous, safe, enjoyable and knowledgeable. Even though city streets were closed, he found us at our hotel on time. He ensured that we got into the correct tour and transferred us between locations. The tour guide was also excellent. Extremely pleased!
We were collected from our hotel in an executive air conditioned vehicle by Conrad, who I cannot rate highly enough and a real credit to discover cracow. He was friendly, knowledgable and spoke excellent English and immediately told us that he was our driver for the day and we were the only guests so if we wanted to stop anywhere or have a comfort break all we needed to do was say. Inside the vehicle was a drop down TV upon which he played a very insightful documentary on the camps. This personal service meant that we didn't have to queue for hours with a coach , it was a real door to door personal service. Our actual guide within the camps was insightful, knowledgable but at all times respectful of the memories and souls who lost their lives, or loved ones.Visiting Auschwitz Birkenau should be compulsory for all mankind. Haunting, chilling, eerie but a true testamant also to extremes of mans nature... Hate and pure evil on the one hand...love compassion and sheer will to survive against all the odds on the other.
The guide was very knowledgeable on what was a very difficult tour. I recommend everyone should do this once in their life.
Excellent trip great driver prompt and polite - video on route to give us background was very informative our tour guide Dominique was very knowledgeable and kept you interested and for someone so young was very respectful of what had happened - she made the experience really interesting and her grasp of English was excellent as she was asked a lot of questions and could explain things that were not just on her script would recommend
A person chauffeur to Auschwitz and probably the best guide I have had anywhere. Very good value for money.
Very informative and he is good. My daughter and I both like it.

This was a half day tour from Kraków, or you can combine it with a tour of the Wielicza Salt Mines.
I'm not sure you could say enjoyable about such a subject matter, but we found it an interesting and absorbing experience. Over the years, we've seen numerous newsreels and documentaries on this subject, but actually visiting the site really brought the enormity of it home. You wonder how there could be people out there who deny or doubt it.
Great to see what we already knew. Very touching and very sad, but well worth it, loved the private transfer, personal and cozy.
Viator counterpart in Krakow kept us very well-informed of changes in schedule and was easily reached by phone when we had a question.
Tour leader was one of the best guides we have ever had.
Private round trip and visit highly recommended. Just the actual guide who walked the group through the camps was a bit schoolteacheriich and sounded bored repeating herself. All punctual and well organised.
private pick up and return on time with great driver. Guide and tour excellent, worth every penny.
