Excellent tour, my only feedback is we were not advised to bring ID to enter, luckily I had it with me!
Viator messed up our booking resulting in our son being put into a different group from us which was not satisfactory. I sent a message to them when we returned and had no response whatsoever. Auschwitz well worth visiting but don’t book with Viator
Dear Customer Thank you very much for your review. We are sorry that you had to split with the group. Auschwitz Musuem has own regulation about the sightseeing. Maximum size of group is 30 persons so why group of 60 persons was split in half. I am so sorry for any inconvience. I hope you that you enjoyed rest of the time in Krakow. All the best Damian
The trip was as we expected very moving the scale of the German atrocity was so vast it is hard to take it in. Particularly sad was seeing the personal effects of the people murdered there.
As for the service provided by viator. We would not use them again or indeed recommend them. The driver who picked us up started chatting but lost interest very quickly and put the radio on. He sorted out our tour when we got there and sorted out a packed lunch for us which was all fine. However, on the return journey he was driving and constantly reading his texts and replying. At one point he attempted an illegal overtake on solid white line and had to suddenly brake as there was a car coming the over way. Didn’t feel safe at all and couldn’t get out of the Van quick enough when we got back
Thank you very much for your feedback. I would like to ask about name of your driver just to avoid situations like you described. To be honest safety in our company is on the first place and it is first time when our customers reported about that kind of issue. I hope to meet you in Krakow. All the best Damian
Auschwitz - Birkenau Private tour - An excellent tour & very interesting but very harrowing to say the least...our private transport driver (Igor) from “Shuttle4you” was very professional, also friendly & chatty! (He knee his football!!!)
The actual tour guide was excellent also in view of the circumstances & full of information.
I think everyone should visit these concentration camps to witness the evil of the NAZIS first hand.
There are actually two camps there:- Auschwitz & Auschwitz Birkenau, both a “must visit” & about an hour from Krakow
Poland on the whole, is beautiful, very green & lush - I think Krakow is a fantastic destination!!
The tour offered by Shuttle4You was absolutely extraordinary. With a private ride to and from Auschwitz-Brikenau, which picked us up at our hotel, the tour itself was both convenient and stress-free. My family and I are hugely grateful for the kindness and hard work of our driver, Wojtek, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and accommodated -- he got us lunch, was quick to communicate very step of the way, and was incredibly friendly and cheerful throughout the day.
The tour provided was both informative and deeply impactful. On both Auschwitz I and II, we were given an in-depth, unflinching look at the experience of coming to these camps, and were given a powerful glimpse at the unspeakable horrors which took place there. We left not only with new knowledge about the camp, but with a deepened understanding of the unfathomable horrors inflicted upon the people who had been sent there. It is a memory we will never forget, and an experience I would recommend everyone take part in.
This trip was made possible by our wonderful driver, Wojtek, and the many other people who had organized the visit for us -- we couldn't recommend Shuttle4You's private tour enough!
A very moving and thought provoking trip. Damien, who was a really nice friendly chap, picked us up promptly from our hotel. He proved to be an excellent guide offering lots of info and answering many questions. Highly recommend shuttle4u for this trip.
Mind changing experience. Our tour was fantastically organized. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very patient to make sure everyone in our group saw everything and answered questions we had. The sheer size of the camps took our breath away certainly had no idea just how big they were seeing programmes on TV cannot prepare you for the sights/stories of what happened at this atrocity. Would recommend booking a sight seeing trip anywhere with Viator Tours they were excellent.
