Picked up from meeting point on time in an an air conditioned minibus with English speaking guide. Walked round everywhere at quite a fast pace to get everything in.very good tour and easy to follow guide.make sure you take water and snacks in small bag and if you take a large bag you can leave that on minibus. would recommend this trip and is a very interesting day.
Too hot, too many people, too rushed, no time to take it in. Guide was fluent and infomative. Be prepared for a long walk through Birkenau, and barely time to pee, none to eat or drink. Take lots of water in summer. Long way out of Krakow. Strict securty about size of bag, not told about before trip started.
The place is awesome but little time to appreciate it.
Came here knowing what to expect but nothing can make you ready for what you see. . The place is well guided and very informative the guide we had told us the full story in all honesty you need to visit to know what them poor people went through
A sobering trip. Our guide was excellent, extremely knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Auschwitz was very busy when we visited be we felt we had sufficient time there. It was a very hot day (31 degrees) which made it very tiring. Be warned, whilst there is shade in Auschwitz there is no shade in Birkenau so take a hat and an umbrella would be a good idea. There was virtually no time for refreshments partly because there was rather a scramble for the best seats on the minibus which was rather cramped and the best air con was at the front.
My bus into Krakow was late and I was able to get in touch with the lovely tour guide Katerina, who held the bus for me for a few minutes. The transportation was very clean and comfortable. Katerina was a knowledgeable guide and overall I had a fantastic experience. Would recommend to anyone.
