What To Expect

Meet your guide in Krakow’s Main Market Square in time for a 2pm departure and set out to explore the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town.

Follow your guide down the Royal Route, and walk in the footsteps of the Polish Kings as you hear about Krakow’s stint as the royal capital. Pause to see historic landmarks such as St. Florian's Church, and admire the grand medieval buildings along Floriańska, Grodzka, and Kanonicza Streets.

Arrive at Wawel Castle and spend time exploring the magnificent castle complex, including the Cathedral, the Royal Chambers, and the Armory. Marvel at the Medieval, Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural styles, and take in the views from the top of Wawel Hill, gazing out over the Vistula River and the gold-roofed Sigismund Chapel.

Continue to Rynek Główny, where the star attraction is the 13th-century St. Mary’s Basilica, home to an impressive altarpiece by Veit Stoss, and some striking paintings by artists including Matejko, Mehoffer, and Wyspiański. Nearby, St Peter and Paul’s Church is another important religious monument, build in the 17th century and still the most significant Jesuit church in Krakow.

After enjoying a coffee break (own expense) at a local café, visit one of the city’s most photographed landmarks – the elaborate Cloth Hall and the Underground Museum.

Your tour ends around 5pm back in the Main Market Square.

St Mary's Basilica

Tracy_M, Jun 2022
So, I think as travelling alone and wasn’t really sure what to expect. The departure location was perfect easy to find. Gregor, our guide, was brilliant. His English perfect, his stories were as though it was the first time he told them. The pace and content was just right. I have to say it was the best walking tour I have ever done.

It was a very informative walk. It took about three hours and it felt like it easily could have been much longer. There is a lot of history in Krakow and our guide gave us lots of interesting details. We had a great time, even though the weather wasn't the best.

We were lucky enough to have just my boyfriend and I on the tour. Our local guide was brilliant, adding his own memories and experiences really brought Krakow to life. We covered a surprising amount in the duration of the tour, and it’s given us a new appreciation of this beautiful city.

Andrezj was the best guide!
Mike_P, Jan 2022
Andrezj was an incredible tour guide. What he didn't know about Krakow likely wasn't worth knowing! We went to some beautiful spots within Krakow including a church that we never would have visited. Having lived in the city for a vast number of years, he was able to add context and real world examples to areas that we were visiting. Incredible experience - thank you so much!

Krakow Old Town Guided Your with Andrew
Sean_M, Oct 2021
Andrew is a very knowledgeable guide who gave us a great tour around Krakow Old Town. He mixed history with personal stories of his own experience. It was a nice mix and made the tour very enjoyable. There were only 4 people (2 couples) on the tour which made it feel like our own personal tour of Krakow. I would highly recommend this guided tour.
