The tours were very informative and the guides had excellent English.
On the bus on the way to Aucshwitz, the guide showed us a documentary about the camp so that we familiarise our self before our visit and it was very fruitful. I was scared that the tour would be too horrifying and sad but although it was obviously not fun to learn such atrocities took place, it was a great learning experience.
The salt mines visit was interesting as well although we expected a more hands on approach. The audio by the guide kept cutting off so much that we missed most of the talk however we managed to learn a great deal of information still.
The organisers were very reachable by email and answered all of our queries immediately. They also picked us up from our hotel even though the van was parked two corners away!
Very well organised tour, guides was very well informed and excellent command of English! A must tour!!! Everything was great!!
Well organised tour, guides very well informed and excellent command of English. The trips were very comfortable, while the trip to Auschwitz was complimented with the very interesting documentary in the van while we were being driven. The Salt mines too was well organised. Glad we made the two tours on separate days as it would have been too much to experience all in one day.
Some / many will know more about Auschwitz than I did when we arrived. It is of course the story of unthinkable acts. It was a sad day and very somber. Our guide was fully in command of the facts and her english excellent as she explained many stories that enhanced understanding of just how really awful the time spent there was. Some of the exhibits are quite gruesome. Then Birkenau is next and makes for a long day. There is a LOT of walking and this from someone who routinely walks 5-6 miles per day wear shoes to handle stony, dirt pathways. We broke the tours into two days: one reason was we knew we would be emotionally spent after the first tour Auschwithz and Birkenau and the second was the full-day option runs until 8:00 pm. I am so glad we did these on separate days! there are approx 350 stairs one must descend to reach the salt mine, and we had to wait over one hour in pouring rain due to new bag inspection protocol ...it would have been simply too much for one day. Going separately we did very much enjoy the Salt Mine once we got into the mine The guides there too know everything about the mine. quite impressive level of professionalism. At times the group moves quickly and one must keep up with your group...if your husband lags behind to take photos it can be stressful!
everything went exactly as they said it would. Tours very interesting with very knowledgable tour guides. Lots of walking but would recommend
Excellent tour. Our tour guide in Auschwitz was fantastic. She imparted her knowledge on such a difficult subject with such respect and humility. I can't say enough about her. The Salt Mine tour was equally as good. We did this as a two day tour and would recommend that if you have the time on your visit. It would be too much for one day.
Extremely thought provoking. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a place everyone should visit during their lifetime as it certainly puts everyday issues into context. The Wielicza Salt Mines were also very interesting
Really enjoyed this trip, it was a very long day - 13 hours from pick up to drop off but well worth it.
Had a really good guide Joanna for the Auschwitz part of it, she was very knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend to other visitors to Krakow.
The tour was well organized. The fact that we could do Auschwitz and Salt Mine in one day helped us save time. The guides were very professional and the Minivan was very comfortable
Exceptionally well organized. The guides were well informed and very helpful and professional.
Outstanding! Yes, we could have done the tours ourselves and taken public transportation for less, but it was well worth the price to ride in a comfortable coach and have knowledgeable and competent guides leading us through the experience. We were a fairly large group 8, including two children, and we felt like we were in good hands. It is intense and exhausting to do both tours in one day, but our time in Krakow was limited, and all of us had an excellent experience. Highly recommended indeed!!!
Experienced and friendly guides who make sure that everything runs smoothly as both Auschwitz and Wieliczka are busy during the summer months.
The guide was most knowledgeable, friendly and understanding. She made the tour very interesting and spoke at an excellent pace. The hosts driver and assistant were very friendly, helpful and were very pleasant throughout the trip.
Planning to return next year with family rather than as a solo traveller although as a two day tour.
This tour was very moving and gut retching. There was a fair amount of walking and unfortunately it rained also. Tired so we did not do the Salt mine, that would have started about 3:00 and we were too tired to do all in one day. It was an organized tour and we saw all of Auschwitz-Birkenau that was advertised.
Nice size group. Lots of walking....have the correct shoes. Book this tour because it and #39;s an important piece of world history.
Very hassle free pickup and drop-off for tour. I guess you can save a bit of money if you find your own way to the museum and then join one of the organized tours but in my experience this is easier way to do things as the tour operator takes care of transportation. Overall we were happy with the way everything turned out. Auschwitz is a must see if you're in Krakow and have never been. Even my wife who doesn't really fancy doing these types of tours because of the depressing nature found it very interesting and educational.
The Auschwitz and Auschwitz-Birkenau is a very long half day - we didn't get back until after 8 - but well worth it. The guides we saw were all very knowledgeable and seemed to have a real concern about the place. Auschwitz main camp is quite somber and Birkenau is eerie, particularly when you realise that you are standing in the place where the incoming prisoners were split up - some going for the deadly shower within minutes.
The salt mine is stunning and a good few hours well spent. The standard of the guides again was excellent. I didn't realise that the tunnels went so far until we came up in the lift to find ourselves the other side of town.
Two little points though. Both tours involve a considerable amount of walking if you are to get the best out of them. If it's raining, neither of the venue's have much in the way of group shelters on the way in, so take something to keep the wet off.
Excellent tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and the day flew in. If you're planning to do both in one day - there is a lot of walking involved, but it's so worth it!
